I'm 19 from Malaysia and I ride a R1200 GSA and man do I gotta say the r1200-r1250 has always looked so good for me and I love it so much! At first I really disliked the look of it but I knew the riding would be amazing, and after test riding the R1300 GS, I gotta say everything they did amazingly well in the previous models just increasingly came better with the R1300... I am absolutely falling in love with the R1300 GSA and I can't wait to purchase the R1300 GSA Option 719 by 2026! (And straight pipe it cus I love pops and flames hopefully hehe) I have nothing but love for this bike right now I think it looks absolutely amazing!

Aah you unpacked it at Meeusen Kempen, My go dealer since driving my GS nice!! Such great guys there. The guy who helped you, Peter, is a very capable mechanic, like that guy. makes a big difference indeed...didn't like the look of it on screen, but once i saw it for real, my opinion changed, especially from behind...front look is great too irl, but the side view is not optimal methinks, putting it mildly...thing is, you have some curved lines mixing with straight ones, that is disturbing

Those extra side bars are side steps for climbing onboard.. the attchment points on top are for crane hooks to pick it up..

I can watch as many videos as I like with the 13er Adventure, it doesn't get any prettier. . . The extension of the crash bars is actually there to make it easier to pull the GS out of the bushes. . .

i haven't seen yet in flesh the GS 1300, but as i see in videos the only downside is the engine sound. I assume the biggest reason is the position of the air filter. Is it me or the ADVENTURE has much better sound cause the different tank shape?

I’d love to see the boys do ‘The Long Way Round’ on these. I reckon they’d struggle. This bikes seems to be moving further and further away from what it once was. This is now just a tourer in GS clothing.

10:30 ASA is more like automated manual gearbox and from people that are interested in having bike with automatic gear changes DCT (which is also kind of automated gearbox) works better (also there is a lot of people that want to have more raw experience and any automatization is just a gadget, I respect that). Maybe BMW will refine it, because reviews shows that there is plenty of room for improvement. Comparing to cars, yeah, maybe people finally got convinced to automatic gearbox or maybe they work better and better and that was an impulse for change. When I was younger they were slow, inefficient compared to manual and maintenance costs were higher. Now eCVT, DCT or ZFs are really refined and reliable and many of us choose them over manual. The second thing is that it is increasingly harder to buy car without automatic gearbox which is a bit sad.

I don't hate the design but don't love it as much as the 1250GSA. Certainly looks futuristic, someone said somewhere it looks straight out of Halo or inspired by the warthog from Halo and I could not agree more.

GS use to crack the frame when jumping, that means it's just for girls light trail fun, serious trail pilots chooses Africa Twin or KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, BMW's are for FA66075
