BMW Helmet Communicator Battery Replacement

My BMW Helmet battery is about 5 years old and is no longer holding charge. The original battery is difficult to buy or NLA. To solve this I fitted a new 3xAA battery holder with rechargeable batteries.
The only tricky bit is the temperature sensor otherwise its just a couple of solder joins.
Equipment:
Soldering iron
Solder
3xAA battery holder
3xAA rechargeable batteries
Silicon to hold the temperature sensor in place
Tape to wrap around the batteries

Yeah, not the usual DR650 stuff 😀 I had read about this fix but never seen much about it so I thought I'd give it a try. Seems to have worked! Time will tell...
