I ordered one of the final i3’s that will ever be produced for the North American market. My only disappointment is that they pulled the Harman/Kardon due to the chip shortage, otherwise I’m looking forward to another three years with an i3. I love these cars more than I love just about any other car on the market. They’re like under-appreciated works of art.

Shame about the HK but how awesome to be getting one of the last ones produced! Congratulations and wishing you another 3 exciting years 🙂

@@garrycroft4215 The i4 will be available at that point but the i3 is incredibly unique. I would have considered another in 2024 if they gave it one final battery upgrade.

May i ask why just “another three years”??…is there any problem after three years of owning one??

I could not agree more! As a life long BMW driver, I sat in an i3 in 2014, shortly after losing just about everything other than what was between my ears! I recognised all the bells and whistles of the other cars strewn around me; multiple exhaust pipes, bulges, vents and go faster stripes and realised they were all evidence of the same motivation. I swore then I’d own an i3 and after ten years finally bought one this year. I’ve owned some of the most exotic Beemers money can buy, but this innovative and highly original car will be with me until I die. It’s brilliant.

6:00 +10 bass +3 treble were the same audio settings I used on the Harman/Kardon system in my 2015 i3. I’ll test it on the base 4-speaker stereo as well when I get my factory order. It gets distorted more easily but the bass performance seems surprisingly similar.

Let us know how you get on 🙂

@@DriveGreen Thanks! It’s still an i3, and an i3s at that, so I’m sure I’ll be over the moon regardless. 😁

I didn’t buy the pedestrian warning, I think that it was another £850 nor the paint £600 . I mistakenly thought that the cruise control was adaptive? Should have known better another £800 lol I just bought the camera and sensors £550 not sure how some cars at far less money can give you all this and much more as standard? Apart from the eye watering add ons it really is the best in class. Oh hang on a minute even after 8 years and a 100 new EVs it’s the only mildly hot hatch. If the word on the street is true that production will cease next year then there will be none.

Yes certainly some very expensive options, but that extends across the whole BMW line really. Certainly agree on it being one of the best though, and sporty wise do take a look at our e208 gt video 🙂

That’s fair, it does drive really well against a lot of other cars in its class. 🙂

@@DriveGreen I would say that it's a harder ride because it's more sporty than ones in its class, it's much quicker and more fun to drive. Being rear wheel drive it has predicable oversteer when pushed hard. I am amazed at how good it gets the power down even in the wet, something to do with the traction control being at the motor rather than at the wheels.
