Most useful and very helpful information….I have searched everywhere for one with it fitted, have just found one but 280 miles away so it looks like I’m on the way there tomorrow!! It is a 2022 car pre registered…..an new adventure in owning an EV but in a size that fits my wife’s confidence…next stop is a Taycan for me!! Thank you for the film…it really helped make our decision! 😀😀😀

If you want to limit which side of the road you want it to search, put your indicator on during the 'searching' phase. It's also a good idea to check it doesn't get too close to the curb and hit a rim (a risk if the cars you're parking between are too close to the curb). I don't use it often but where it is really useful are for those parks that you think are too small for the car - just let the car decide. If it thinks it can fit, it can fit. I've parked in some VERY tight parks I wouldn't have attempted with a manual parallel park as I couldn't be sure the nose was clear.

Wow,I have owned my 2017 Is rex since 2019 and never knew I had that feature. Of course I never parallel park, I think I'll have to try this out.

So can you describe in specific sequence what you pushed? You’re driving along.. and how does it sense an open space etc thx !
@GoGreenAutos3 жыл бұрын
You press the P buitton, then it senses for a space using the parking sensors. Then when you want to go into that space, just press and hold the P button and the car does the rest.

I might buy a used i3 soon, I think it is the 2017 version and but it has no back camera. I assume the parallel parking feature will only work with the version which has a camera?
@GoGreenAutos24 күн бұрын
Yes, as I explained at the beginning of the video, to have Park Assist, it will have a rear camera and front parking sensors.

I'm looking at an I3 for sale and it has the park assist button and rear camera but no rear sensors, doesn't it use the sensors for park assist?
@GoGreenAutos4 ай бұрын
Yes it needs parking sensors.

Not available on a i3s? I've got a 2019 i3s and it's all there. Camera, sensors (back and front) and the button, all there! I never tried it to be honest.

Its been a while since I've had an i3 in, but yes I think they do. But with the amount of different vehicles I drive, individual detail does get a bit blurred.

yes it does, feature is listed as 'hill hold control' on the window sticker. It's standard equipment

Quick question is it worth thay pretty price tag?
@clasqm4 жыл бұрын
@@craigstevenson7708 The Parking Assist, no, but it comes bundled with Adaptive Cruise Control, which I can no longer live without. Or did you mean the car as a whole?. Well, it's electric, which is more expensive, and its a BMW which is also more expensive. But the secret is that EVs depreciate very badly, so you can pick up good-as-new used EVs for half the price. I bought my 2-year old BMW i3 with 2000 miles on the clock (that is not a typo) , fully loaded with options, for the price of a new bottom-of-the-range Nissan Leaf.

@@clasqm wow nice im not American so here they are 84k new and the cheaoest ive seen is 40k used so they definitely depreciate! Still couldn't buy it as i could buy a new suv for 40k (have a family lol)
