interesting install of the battery pack into the transit ,,very well done ,,i would be more intrigued to hear from actual owners of loaded vehicle range figures , rather than KZbin reviews ,,,your point about 30k+ van mileages does,nt add up as all delivery companies would do substantially more than that ,,small local buinesses may do well with it but certainly most companies need the abillity to travel further than that loaded than the short range would allow ,,, which comes down to the potential down time while waiting for charging ,,,and then only to 80% anyway ,,i wonder how bigger companies who can effectively park their vehicles anywhere with a diesel van would be able to charge large numbers of vehicles overnight assuming they were,nt needed during that time ? two ev vans recently delivered in 23 plate guise to my company are due to be returned to their central vehicle supplier due to range problems ,,,the vans seem to be miles off the car ranges ?? 300 miles(reallife) range would be completely acceptable and practicle ,,,the battery packs need to be much bigger for commercial users ,,,Fantastic driving vehicles BUT 9 minute fill ups for ice vehicles is a big decider in the real world

the reason these number are BS is because they only account on capacity, this is not how you calculate a battery degradation ... when you pull lot of amp, the voltage will sag because of resistance of the battery, yeah they can store energy still, but they cannot give it at high amperage ... these mesurement are bs

Took delivery of first Tesla last week (model Y). Have to say, compared to my previous BMW i4 M50, it’s been much better than I expected. One annoying thing is the buzz / rattle that comes from the rear view mirror housing when going over a rough road surface. I’ve seen a video on how to fix it which I’ll be doing in the new year.

Superb video! Ive got a new leased one arriving in January to replace my Renault Zoe. Aside from looking forward to a vehicle which has heating that works all the time rather than 10% of the time 😂, cant wait. I think id be minded to just leave it in B mode as Im guessing will feel similar to the Zoe's regen, but interesting to hear you say D mixed with B is more efficient!

I hope you got a cracking deal on the lease, as there's some great offers on the Leafs currently. Yes, its more efficient to coast (no regen) as much as possible and then to only use regen to slow down vs brakes. So adjust to suit rather than just leaving in one mode.

Press the door lock button on the smart key within 32 feet (10 m) from the vehicle. 2. Press the Remote Start button for more than 2 seconds within 4 seconds after pressing the door lock button. 3. The hazard warning lights will blink and the vehicle will start. 4. To turn off the remote start function, press the Remote Start button once.

@GoGreenAutos3 күн бұрын
The NV200 was launched in 2009 and had a 13 year production run, so it was well overdue to be replaced with a new vehicle. The electric version had a 9 year run which was still very long compared to other manufacturers. The replacement, the Nissan Townstar which is a rebadge Renault Kangoo, is a far nicer vehicle to drive.

It is terrible design and assembly. Most of them fail due to bad soldering on lower PCB PTC terminals. PTC elements on it's own never fail. Bad soldering on PTC terminals causes arcing inside, which eventually damages IGBTs and other components. It is possible to fix it, but only if you are good in electronics. I shared the details of how to do it on my website. But even if you replace all damaged components and sort soldering on lower PCB, most likely your vehicle will refuse to activate it due to logged major error in PTC heater microcontroller. So you then have two options, use my LIN controller for heater activation (firmware and schematics in my website) or reflash PTC heater microcontroller. Another less severe failure is then voltage regulator chip gets damaged. In such case it also damages diode and resistor next to it. If this is a case, after repair no need to reflash microcontroller or use my LIN controller. I personally suggest not to waste your money on replacement units, just buy diesel heater and install it instead. It's much cheaper, more reliable and saves your EV range in winter time. EDIT: I just realized you already found information about my repair and you shared the link in your video description. My website is still missing information about the need of reflashing heaters microcontroller after major fault. Will try to update it in near future.

Its not sufficient to name the options of adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, along with other options such as seat heating etc. The nuances result in very significant real world differences, and for me its the single most important feature of a car this days. This is called digital light which is the best of the best so far. However, it seems very weak compared to other digital or matrix headlights.
@GoGreenAutos6 күн бұрын
I've not heard of "digital light" before. Its not a term that is used in the UK. I've found them pretty good. I've been using the for 9 months now and haven't yet had a need to dip my lights or turn them off. Yes I'm sure others are better, but the Tesla ones will keep improving with future software updates. Plus we never actually paid extra for them. The matrix lights were being fitted by Tesla way before they got them working with an OTA software update and were not listed as part of the specs on a new vehicle. How else does that?
@othman00775 күн бұрын
@GoGreenAutos You have a matrix, and the newer version matrix+pixels is called digital light. With digital light instead of controlling the LEDs you control the pixels black or white or in between like a tv screen which is much precise.

Models of e-NV200 with the fancier larger-screen navigation unit have a more sophisticated and easier to set charging and climate control timers, and do not have the timer in the small instrument panel screen at all. They need completely different instructions to the ones in this video. [Based on a 40 kWh Evalia, but the panel van equivalent uses the same controls.] In the simple version, the OFF time setting can be just as useful as the ON time. Set the time you'd like the van to complete its charging to 100%, and it will start at an early-enough time, based on the current available from the charge point it's connected to, how much charge is already in the battery, and whether the climate control timer is on as well. If you don't have cheap overnight electricity, this is the right option: set the charged-by time to be when you want to leave in the morning. If you do have cheap rate electricity, you might as well set the OFF time to half an hour after the cheap rate ends, because the balancing part of the charge uses very little power. The preconditioning timer should be set to your departure time! It works out for itself when to start heating or aircon so as to reach the preset temperature just ready for you. Just like using the OFF time in the charge timer.

I couldn't set an off time on this 2022 ENV200. I was sure you could on older models so tried multiple times and it wasn't possible. The On/Off option was only turning the timer on/off, not setting an start and end time.
@MarkIrving6 күн бұрын
@@GoGreenAutos My mistake (reading the "Getting the most from your e-NV200" booklet page 8); Nissan say the charging timer's set time is the time for charging completed, not selectable between an On and an Off time. "Charging will start automatically at the calculated time to achieve that charging is completed at the set end time." -- as written in Nissanglish. (Nissan sent me PDF versions of the owner's manual from 2016 and 2018, and the shorter booklet which looks like for 2018 onwards, when I asked nicely. It did take several goes as they sent diesel NV200 documents first. All are written in the strange nearly-English language of every car makers' instructions, much harder to find what you need and understand it than they could be.)

The "A" position is for automatic lights, but not for automatic bright lights dimming. All ford's since 2010 have had the "A" setting at the right most selection on the dial for automatic low beam activation. This has a light sensor on the dash, and when it becomes dim outside the car turns on the low beams automatically so you don't forget to turn on your lights. I know that's confusing but welcome to Ford. I would know, my brother was an engineer there doing systems and parts integration until he left for John Deere.

@GoGreenAutos8 күн бұрын
The new Y which we might get in the UK in a couple of months time will undoubtedly have improved suspension. I have a 2024 MY and the suspension has certainly softened up after about 5-6k miles. Not a great deal, but enough to notice the difference and its not just me being used to it. I also recently drove my Model Y back to back on the same roads (hitting the same bumps and drain covers) with a newish Land Rover Defender with air suspension and both myself and the Defender owner thought they were identical in terms of stiffness. I was very surprised and made me realise that the MY isn't that bad.
@Chris-mh3vf8 күн бұрын
@ I have just sent back my model 3 with over 100k miles so maybe I am comparing them to that, but still. Now you cant even reset the tyre pressures to offset the hard ride without getting a warning on the dash. I am assuming the suspension is softer in the states with the American spec rock hard low grip tires and the American inability to have loaded and unloaded pressures like us. Or has the suspension been stiffened for a more European sporty ride? The rest of the car is so good but why cant the ride be more EC4 like.
