7:26 90kW at 67% is what BMW promises. The 200kW are held till around 20%. At 30% it should have 175kW, at 40% 140kW, at 50% 110kW, at 60% 90kW, at 70% 75kW and at 80% around 60kW.

The BMW i4 is my favourite sounding EV so far. It is not like a high pitched spaceship like many companies are doing, it has a fuller sound that references a BMW inline 6 a little bit

90kw speed is due to higher state of charge, cold temperatures and indeed no preconditioning for HPC charging. At best conditions it would have given about 110kw at that state of charge, so not a huge loss btw

@@johnnypovdrives it can! But you must enter it into the original idrive nav, not google maps for example (so not through android auto or CarPlay). And also you need to make sure you do it some 20-30 km away / 15min before at least

Hey Johnny. I have owned numerous Tesla over the last several years. Up until just this year specifically the advertised range was WAYYYYY off compared to reality. Driving like a normal car how far off would you estimate the range vs real world experience? Thanks so much! Keep up the great work on the video! (Oh yes one more thing. Do you notice a large slope aka fall off when fast charging the higher SOC you get?)

was super excited to get one, went to pick it up it at a dealership that was 3 hours away. The dealer straight out told me he’s 100 percent sure i wouldn’t make it home before the battery died. He then recommended me to tow it. I lost all interest in it after that and got a c63 amg lol. I’m not ready for electric cars and the new dilemmas they cause right about now lol

Do you know if it has phantom draining ? I’m only asking because I have a job where sometimes I have to go on. Business trip for a week and a half. I didn’t get a Tesla because I didn’t want to come home with a dead battery. I know Etron does not have phantom draining but Etron only offer 222 miles right now and does not charge fast even with a dc fast charger.

I believe it's all real carbon fibre, but there's an underlying support structure so it's not really lighter than the standard parts (but it looks great!).

great car, bmw did good job using existing ice platform to make electric vehicle out of it. more manuafacturers should do this to move faster in this direction . it would speed up process toward electrification without having to make platform just for that. but there are short comings. compared to model 3 performance. which i wouls till choose over bmw. but thats just me.

It is bigger, like a Model S. And also more luxurious inside. Fastest Model 3 is faster but the range & battery are comparable, BMW is capable of faster DC charging but not by much.

Word of advice to anyone here. I like the car but before you buy confirm 1. The actual real work range is solid for where you live. Remember winter will kill you range. People talk about tesla ranges figure are off but I hearing the same with other manufactures. They just seem to be the least dirty clothes in the laundry 2. Charging infrastructure yes you say you will not need it now. But emergencies do come up, the schedule plan will(not might) change and when you travel further out than anticipated where you going to charge? Especially with a possibility of reduced range 3. I don’t understand but there is still a transmission tunnel around the back? You would be surprise how having a flat rear floor help in space and comfortness.
