Thank you very much for sharing this. I am hoping to get a Autologic tool as I know I can put it to good use. Around my area not many can handle Europeans so they must send them out over a hour away to get programmed so this information here is critical.

Thanks for the info but to me it seems there are lots of things to go wrong and this only with one manufacturer and doesn’t include the subscription issue and cost.

2011 is an F series car which has an immobilizer function in the transmission valve body. If you program a used valve body to the car, it will not shift out of park.

Well I love Autologic but this info is not so good! First why he says that windows 10 and only 10? That is not true. I use Ista P/D on daily basis with windows 7 and have never a problem. You can use 8 and 10. So all I see here is creating fear of programming which is a simple task when you get familiar. So sorry but this video gets a Thumb down from me.

Maic Salazar Diagnostics BMW specifies windows 10 only!

Maic Salazar Diagnostics BMW switched to windows 10 around the summer. At the moment, earlier versions of Windows stil work, but if you check TIS, they state on there that soon enough only Windows 10 will be supported.

Lynx Star Automotive that is true. All manufactures are moving to latest windows but so far 7 and 8 are still working good. So no need to spreed fear into newbies. Thx

@@MaicSalazarDiagnostics I see what you're saying but there needs to be certain level of respect given when programming these cars. Also you have to remember that Autologic is a company with OEM relationships. They can't instruct people to use a non authorized OS when BMW says specifically to use Windows 10. What if a vehicle crashes and BMW doesn't give them support because the technician didn't follow procedure? Also newbies are too trigger happy these days programming cars that don't need to be programmed. Programming with battery jumper packs, etc. i don't see anything wrong with what the instructor said. Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Well just Saturday, (12/29) I had to program a JBE for another shop because his programming would not complete. He thought it was his cable, so I lent him mine. No dice; used my laptop instead (win 10), programmed without a hiccup. So I believe Win 7/8 is no longer viable. Edit failed to mention the problematic laptop was running Win 8.
