Does the BMW iX1 eDrive20 recharge on DC power at the rate expected?
When the weather is mildly cold, is the pre-conditioning working or do you not manage to get the 130kW anticipated?
How long does the 10% to 80% charge last?

Since the ix2 shares a lot with the ix1, do you think that the edrive20 is worth it or should I invest the extra bucks? I am thinking of buying the ix2 edrive20 because the xdrive30 is a lot pricier, and at that price I wont be able to aford some extras, and not to mention the price range of the edrive20 is eligible for government and local subsidies for EVs acquisitions in my country even with a lot of extras... I am undecided because I dont live in a place with snow but it rains a lot, so I don't know if the AWD xdrive30 is very important or not in terms of safety since I never owned an EV and I am used to manual shifting, I never felt the necessity to own an AWD vehicle before, and dont feel too confortable delegating all the traction of the vehicle to the front wheels in an automatic EV... Maybe I am only overthinking it, I would like to Know yout imput.

Just my view but i think edrive20 is plenty. I drove in rain and accelerated from zero and never felt like slipping. As opposed to my ioniq where it s too light at the front and easily spins.

How is this car to drive? Any fun? I've tested the xDrive30 version and it was great, but eDrive20 is nowhere to be found for test drive.

I will come back to this but yes eDrive20 would be plenty for me.

Interesting charging curve at 01:24 . I wonder if the extra range means that, despite its inefficiency (~3 miles/kWh from your previous video), you can perhaps charge at home and use destination chargers more often than rapid chargers, which would mean low charging costs overall anyway? Or maybe the low efficiency is still very impactful on overall charging costs. Have you looked into that sort of reasoning for your next EV? I am obviously interested 😁👌🏻

My guess is that either way 'fuel' costs will remain a tiny fraction of total cost of ownership (it's 10% right now). Indeed partly helped by more range and therefore more flexibility to use home but also destination chargers.

Sadly the car is gone now but I have no doubt the specs are met. In my view edrive20 is fast enough.
