Nice to hear you'll be in the 'Dacks.. I'll be with family in Syracuse that weekend and going on a fishing trip on Lake Ontario Sunday, not that far away. I used to camp up in Old Forge every summer as a kid. Have fun, ride safe!

Great packing job !! Thanks for the tour of the bike. I've found that putting stuff like cameras in zip lock baggies is good peace of mind if it starts raining. Clear garbage bags for the stuff in the paniers are good as well. Nice bike and have an excellent trip. Looking forward to seeing trip videos.

I just got back home yesterday from a 1600 mile tour. Originally we went up to do the Adirondacks but due to crap weather we started detouring north and east going thru VT, NH & ending up in ME. Hit Mt Washington on the way. One of the scariest roads I've ever ridden, 8 miles up to around 6,300'n no gaurdrails, narrow and 2 way traffic. On the way back down it was and a mile and half till we got out of the cloud, rain and 50's temp to be greated with 20-30mph winds. We did the same camp and some hotels. If you go to Lake Placid area, avoid the Tail o the Pup campground. Ribs were good but their camp cottages are HORRIBLE!! My friends an I wished we would have had a GoPro. Beautiful country and most of roads were good. I'll shoot you a PM with my info so if you're coming thru central PA and need a stop or hand you can give me a shout.
