BMW K1600 & R1250 Skiing Korsika

Donnerstag, der letzte Tourentag. Heute stand der Besuch des einzigen Skigebietes auf Korsika auf dem Programm. Ich wollte es erst nicht glauben - aber tatsächlich. alles fast wie in Österreich oder der Schweiz - nur etwas kleiner. Die An- und Abreise führte uns dann durch enge Schluchten und eine wunderschöne Landschaft. Adrian und Daniel haben dann noch ihre Drohnen ausgepackt und sich gegenseitig motiviert die schönsten Motive abzuschiessen. Die ersten 3 Minuten des Videos lassen wir mal die Mitfahrer zu Worte kommen. Auf besonderen Wunsch diesmal auch mit englischen Untertiteln.

Thursday, the last day of the tour. Today we planned to visit the only ski resort in Corsica. At first I didn't want to believe it - but actually - everything was almost like in Austria or Switzerland - just a little smaller. The arrival and departure took us through narrow gorges and a beautiful landscape. Adrian and Daniel then unpacked their drones and motivated each other to shoot the most beautiful subjects. For the first 3 minutes of the video we let the passengers have their say. By special request this time also with English subtitles.

El asfalto todavía estaba bien, pero había demasiada arena en la carretera. Te respetan muy rápidamente en las curvas.

Thank you for the subtitles, your diligent hard work is greatly appreciated. And now for your next miracle, subtitles in French, Spanish and Portuguese! English is the Lingua Franca, that’s sufficient. The gentleman from Switzerland not speaking Swiss Deutsch, I understood a few words of the conversation? Drone shots are fabulous. Enjoyed several family holidays in Corsica many years past, perhaps I should revisit on the bike one day.

A lot of people can speak English. Otherwise I would probably have to add Korean and Turkish to the program. It would be too warm for me on a bike in Corsica.

Corsica in mid September not too hot, the French tourists are back at work, the sea is warm. Although the evenings are drawing in and some tourist services begin to close, accommodation and ferries are cheaper! You have Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria on your door step, a man whom is tired of France and the above countries is tired of life.

Hello Sir Arthur I hope you are well. Nice video as always. I take this opportunity to ask you if, now that your friends have already had the new K1600 for some time, all the problems that caused the change to the GS have been resolved. You will remember that there were problems regarding overheating etc... now I read in the blogs that the latest one suffers from electronic problems which cause anomalies in the reversing gears and various lights which do not come on.... you who know many people who have the 1600, can you confirm it for me? Thanks as always...

From our group, only Jens and Jörg drive the brand new K1600. We practically don't see each other over the winter because we all live a few 100km apart. I haven't heard of any more problems - apart from the navigation system, which probably takes some getting used to. As soon as I hear something, I'll be happy to let you know.
