We left at 8am, the Ducati arrived for lunch at 11, the BMW at 1130, the Harley at noon. The Ducati drank too much waiting, the Harley was in traction and unfit to continue. The BMW then had it the way he wanted it all along.

GT is fantastic bike, probably the best for high speed touring. If one wants to ride a bit slower, RT is there.

MirageGP yeah I’d agree I’ve owned or ridden most of them. Engine is killer while being comfortable. Gold wing is a lot softer, smaller tank, smaller luggage. I owned a zzr1400 for a few years. Not in the same league.

I chose the GTL over the Goldwing in fact just ordered it last week . GW won the popular vote but man the GTL just does it for me .

The year of the GT makes a difference as well. After 2016 BMW began a series of changes that slowed down the bike. Top speed was 160MPH/250KMH in the 2016 model. But as several have pointed out - this is big touring bike vs. a crotch rocket. The BMW weighs around 790 lbs. Love my 2016 GT!

@@gottgaame you'll be disappointed in the Harley if you like performance.. if you like to look good and sound good, feet the hog. If you like to "ride" get the k. If you like to buy a bike and put $10 to $20k into it too make it better, get the hog. If you like to buy a bike a just put miles on it and use and abuse it.. get the hog. I have both.. the k1600b and s1000xr get more miles than the hogs... Insane my Softail has only been out of the garage once this season.

I did enjoy that and I was watching your mirrors for something arriving and it did. I do fancy a GT Sport 2020 in the silver/black and red pinstripe. I have an Electra Glide Ultra Limited 2018 at the moment, not selling it, it will be a good companion for the BMW. Nice music. Thank you. Gee.

I know what I would do to a K1600GT for it to beat the Panigale. The result wouldn't look anything like when it left the factory, would not have a stereo or navi or heated seats or anything, but would be such a cool monster. Sadly I don't have the spare money lying around to even think about it, so I just enjoy every chance I get to ride either one of the bikes ... XD

Hey, approx 240 km/ with a 340 kg heavy bike, vs a racemonster < 200 kg. And the K1600 can run over 270 km (or faster with Brenntuning).

I found that stock it sits at 260km/hr but we're on high altitude so that may be the factor as well.

I bought a Concours, because of price. I was surprised that it did 170mph+ out of the box. Can't wait for the ecu tuning. Big tourers that haul butt are awesome!

@@miragegp i used to... well not everyday... my point is, the comparison is pointless, Panigale is a supersport bike, the GT is an Ultra cruizer, it cant go as fast as Ducati, that is not what is was made for, i couldnt go faster than 240 on GT, i wasnt stable anymore... going 300+ on a supersport is no problem at all...
