Which ultimately the projects were what car throttle has become known for. And thats why now these new videos are all with borrowed cars. Essentially they've gone back to what car throttle started as. Which is not what they're known for anymore

@@kaz3dThe channel was bought by a corporate media company that owns multiple other channels. They refused to give budget for multiple different videos so Alex left. They forced Edwin to be on camera, so he left. Jack and Ethan tried to hold on but it only got worse so they left too. Typical example of suits not knowing what viewers want. They’re so detached from normal people it’s crazy.

I am SO jealous right now. I remember back in the mid 80s, I was in the Army (US) and stationed in Germany. One particular day, I had to drive to Darmstadt with a colleague in a ragged out VW van. The A5 was being worked on, the north-bound lanes closed, so traffic was two-way in the southbound side. My colleague was asleep as I was driving when I noticed an M1 approaching from the opposite direction. This was one of the Procar versions. Splitter, wing, white paint with tri-color BMW stripes, the whole 9 yards. I yelled, "WHOA!!" as it zoomed past. My colleague was startled awake and asked what was wrong. He wasn't very pleased when I told him what I had just seen. It's a memory that still excites me to this day.

The summer of 1978 I was driving on Coast highway in my 1973 Pantera. In Laguna Beach. I went by a small sports car shop that had an M1 in the showroom. It was in the evening and I stopped to check out this outrageous BMW. The person in the shop asked me if I wanted a test drive. After thinking about for 3 seconds I said yes. I did not buy the M1 but the memory still lingers in my mind after all these years.

This is not totally true at 4:36.... The M88 engine is the one in the M1. The M88/1 engine is the M1 Procar engine. The M88/2 engine is the Turbo Gr5 engine. The M88/3 engine is the one found in the M635CSi , the Euro e28 M5 and the e23 745iSA. The S38 catalyst engine with way less HP was almost only found in the USA and Canada e24 M6 and e28 M5... I have a 1985 M635CSi...yes, this M88/3 engine is like nothing else, you have to experience it yourself because words can't describe it...Sorry, but the S38 engine is not THE real thing IMHO...

The louvres came from Lamborghini. It was originally intended to be a Lamborghini racing homologation car, built by BMW in Italy. Lamborghini became drama queens, so BMW pulled out of the partnership and made it their own.

Alex was always destined to leave CT no matter how big or successful the channel was. Why would you have that big a following and not capitalize on it by starting your own channel. Similarly, once he took off, you could always see Jack, Ethan and Co going with him, it's like Hammond and May sticking with Clarkson, why break up a winning combo. These guys will bring a different approach and so they should. Why copy the originals, they will only fail at that. I'm enjoying this stuff so far and will stay subscribed and watching. Give them a chance.
