As an inline4 rider it annoys me so much that people shortshift these bikes 100 percent of the time. And even worse, then they go on to call them characterless or what have you and claim to prefer twin cylinder bikes. Like listen, if you wanna have fun on an inline 4 you keep it above 6-7k so you access the power band when you want to. If you shortshift a 150hp 1000cc i4, you might as well ride a 90hp 600cc bike.
