Those Bridgestone RS11's are excellent tires. If you stick with the 200/55ZR17 that your bike comes with you can consider other brands of performance tires, but they all are made for aggressive street riding and mostly track use. Typically this means that they wear out fast and they are not great in wet conditions. Warm up time is also a concern. You could go down to 190's, and have more choices and in theory quicken the steering. Bridgestone S22's are available in the 200 size and are great tires. They grip, good in wet conditions, warm up quickly and last longer. They're also fine for track use. That's what I would recommend, after you wear out the stock ones.

I know this is a newbie question but how did you remove the reflector? I was thinking that maybe I could heat it with a hair dryer and it would come off. Thanks

Yep, you got it. Hairdryer, gently peel it off. If it’s stubborn use some fishing line to shimmy it off. Clean the sticky stuff off with some Goo gone 😊

so I would highly recommend BMW radiator guard and oil cooler guard, it cost me $60 at my BMW dealer for my s1000R and it took me about an hour to install, you do have to take all the fairings off but it's not bad at all. Your M1000R looks amazing

Yes, it's been installed. Went with Evotech. It's usually the first thing I put on my bikes.

Don’t know if you are aware of a German company called Wunderlich, search them if not and sign up, they do bolt ons for all BMW bikes. They do crash sliders very unique style unlike all the rest, I had a pare that I fitted on my Hockenheim S and they of course fit the M as they are the same apart from the engine. Also kept my pro race carbon stainless slip on can from that bike and is now on my M.

Thank you for this 😀. I have heard of Wunderlich, quality parts I believe. I will search it and see what they have. Does your slip on sound a lot better? The Akra is a little quiet but I figured it was because of the Cat. Are you installing headers? I’m thinking about it for now…

@@AmenCornerRider The slip on sounds great, I won’t be doing headers or deleting the cat, I’m sort of seeing that as unnecessary to be honest and I kinda like the collector sitting at the bottom there, gives the bike a nice profile. I have seen a few S models with this all gone and they kinda look a bit exposed like they have been gutted ☺️ I think it spoils the line and so far most people say to me that exaust is a work of art.
