Hello Mark, this is just a great conclusion to a lovely series. These track session videos you have made have been thrilling and a massive eye opener for me. It also shows how much driving experience you have and to have a scare and you recovered very well and kept going, most people would slow down after that. Pushing the limit is where you need to be. Find it, play with it and then for your best lap time, just dial it back a smidge. I do think that you do need to have a little push of the limit at each corner on separate laps for the above reasons. Just need to remember that once you change the car, all your limits will change and its back to finding them again. Apart from that, keep them coming.

Have you considered the "M4 LCA" mod mark? Seems to bring good improvements in front end feel and grip. That and the LSD should help you massively at Goodwood.

Doesn’t turning dsc fully off override the sport modes and put it back into comfort mode, that’s what mine does anyway

With DSC fully off it defaults to comfort throttle, but hard dampers and heavy steering.

I was on an evo trackday 1st july at goodwood sent home for driving too fast , the want you to drive like miss daisy , worst run trackday i have ever been on , and iv done over 400 trackdays , shocking how they disrespected me , i will never visit this circuit again

Went to evo mag run trackday at goodwood race circuit , terrible experience , was treated really badly and unfairly , asked to leave because driving fast on a trackday ? 22 years of trackday experiance over 400 plus trackday events , totally confused by their opinion

Actually no , they had entered a lot of novices getting free rides in bmw sponsership guided by ponsy so called msv hasbeen and never will be driving instructors and these novices panickd wen somone aproached them at high speed on a very high speed circuit and it was myself who had to do avaisive action to avoid their very poor driving skill , never left the circuit no spins hit evry apex spot on , traveld over 300 miles for this trackday , supposed to be open pit lane but shitty sessions , lots of other people so dissapointed with this format , shocking !

Love this channel. The funniest on YT. Man buys R.S, loves it and goes on about it endlessly, keeping it for 10 years, nothing better etc... sad verse, Ford fit wrong head gasket so engine fails, gets new one. Happy again. Then the funniest of all, is happy with the R.S, but goes to rolling road (if ever there were meaningless figures it's from RR), gets a low figure, does video about it he now thinks it's slow because a meaningless RR figure said it was. Does another video about how it's actually ok, tries to reassure himself (doesn't know arse from elbow). Sells car, buys another. Goes around in circles with more than a distinct whiff of, oh I'll say I'm just an ordinary driver but really I secretly think I'm an awesome driver, but I'll pretend to be modest. Brings passengers who tell him how good he is. It's comedy gold, cringe but like a guilty pleasure at the same time.

At the end of the Day my conclusions are: Yes it's à bmw, so People can mock at it because this brand is ALWAYS bashed. But, no issues on the engine or stuff like that appart your tyre story in winter if i remember correctly. Engine is way more fun than the focus, because you've got the last mohican, rwd M/T 6 Pot hot hatch. Overall it's a great dayli, and a Nice car on track without being à propre M car. You've been smart buying that one. I'm thinking of opening à YT channel as yours, but in french and english and with my old 07 2.5 z4 and my even older 3.0 e46 touring.

mainman2999 Block’s cars have mechanical Torsen AWD not this part time Haldex bullshit, have you seen how tiny the FoRS rear half axles are? Because it’s FWD 90% OF THE TIME. Also, at least his M4 broke down only once unlike Mark’s Focus which kept chewing through head gaskets ALL THE TIME lmao Ford is an utter joke.

I love your videos, Mark, but (I know I seem a total idiot for this) why is it a thing to left foot brake a rear wheel drive car? I get that you do it with FWD like the Scandinavian drivers of the 60s in Minis and SAABs so you get the back to come around rather than just understeering everywhere. Speaking here as someone who has only ever owned FWD cars!

Some people seem to have a real problem with Mark previously owning an RS and now enjoying RWD. Every time he praises the BMW, it’s not a personal dig at the RS (from my perspective at least) If Mark hurts your feelings every time he praises his new car, maybe you should stick to RS videos and lead a happier, less bitter life.

FalconXE302 - it’s not needed in the dry, it just adds weight and can add a tendency to understeer and saps power. AWD is definitely not the best in all situations. My 964 C2 was quicker on track than my old C4. The C4 dominates in the wet mind.

mainman2999 - The Group B Lancia was RWD and it bummed the Audi Quattro 👍 Oh and I’m a huge fan of the RS and it’s powertrain, not hating AWD but it has downsides and isn’t always best.
