*real fan of the m140i. So much tuning potential too*

I’ve had my M140i shadow for 7 months now. I love it, ultra rapid and running 450 in stage 1 tune with a light map. It’s a bit inert but so capable. The B58 is a hugely tunable unit capable of 700+bhp with some new turbos and meth injection. The internals are so strong. It’s way quicker than my old E90 M3.

40k ? Don’t know where you’re shopping. Just bought my wife a new M140i (3door) Shadow Edition. White - Media Pack, Front Heated seats etc. Gap and Paint protection 31k ! I’ve looked at everything for 30k - 40k it’s the bargain of the century! I hate to say this however I must tell the truth! I used to own a 2010 NA Evora, I got left for dead by a M135i and a A45 I’m not on about on straight roads either. I’m not a racing driver but competent I am! I’ve had 911’s, Cayman S, Lotus by the dozen including a 2 11 and an Exige S. I’ve even had. Ferrari 430 so I know what I’m on about. The M140i and M240i are good cars! Bloody good.

There is no doubt they are effective but are they fun cars though? I'm planning to spend about £20k and considering an M140i, Cayman, Boxster or maybe pushing it a bit for an Evora.
@1970boggy6 жыл бұрын
iain3915 An Evora will be 30k (NA) You can get cheaper cars but I wouldn’t. It’s an amazing package, breaks, handling and all round drivability cannot be beaten at the price. It’s slow thou - very in the NA platform. Cayman S - a bigger grown up Exige S (1.8 SC version). Lacks feel doesn’t feel special. For that money I’d go for a 2nd hand M140i / M240i or a SC Elise. If you want a pure driving experience go for the Lotus it can’t be beaten

Lack of diff isn't the issue with the mlites, nor is tyres. The standard shocks are AWFUL - a B12 kit or even just a set of bilstein B4's (which are an oem replacement, not a modification) transform it - more secure and predictable handling and none of that awful squirming about that the standard car does.
