Hands down in all my comparison the M2C is significantly more balanced than the M4. M2C also looks wider and more aggressive. The M4 is now a “big” car. It’s a midsized car what a 5 series was a few years ago. Both beautiful M cars. Nobody does blue like BMW.

Completely agree! The m3/4 just grew far too big and heavy. For a gt-ish cruiser that you can also take on track M3/4 are perfect but the M2 is the better driver focused car 👌🏼

@@MrHCars I would slightly disagree with you there saying M3/M4's have become to big and heavy. Comparing to the M2. The following stats are from the BMW directory- 1625 kg - M2C MT 1650 kg - M2C DCT 1635 kg - M4 MT 1660 kg - M4 DCT 10 kgs isn't really that much. Their both fantastic cars in their own right.

@@DavidWilson-ih8fn Yeah true, weight wise on paper it's not that much difference. But go for a drive in them both and you'll notice the M4 feels more boaty and heavy - it's how the actual car seems to feel vs it's paper stats The extra length on the M4 makes it feel like the back end takes longer to come round a corner vs the M2

M2 Comp over M4 anyday but they are both amazing cars. I like long beach blue. But a black M2 comp would look super stealth imo. I think the M2 Comp would be perfect in a manual, more engaging plus less weight too.

Yes! I drove an M2c Manual the other day, much more engaging and probably a better/ more fun car. But since mines a daily, i cba with the hassle of a manual in traffic on my morning commute

I prefer a smaller more nimble feel especially on tight country roads but I like the looks of the M4 better - especially the profile and back end. Is there really much difference in exterior width or is just the lack of interior space makes it feel smaller? I wish there was more footage comparing the looks that wasn't so shaky.

As I mentioned near the start of the video - neither of us were insured on each others cars, so the risk wasn't worth taking. Yes, granted driving them would give a better idea and feel but being a passenger was next best thing. I'd like to think i'm pretty in tuned with how a car feels too from being a passenger

The active sound in the cabin is terrible, it's so loud. Also, you can change the shifts. Violent is quick shifting, middle is like your M2. Smooth.

A lot of journalists were very critical of the mapping on the original M4 (very spikey) and was corrected on the M4 comp. They have now discontinued M2Comp because of the S55 can't meet regs.

Yes I remember them saying that and that the spiky low end torque caused a lot of owners to crash their M3/4's. You can see how they massively improved this in the mapping on the M2c, much slower delivering of torque at the higher rev range. But like we discussed in my last vid, makes for a more NA feeling car but not as fun as the 40i/ B58 around town

Sunroof adds 55lbs at the highest point of the car (which is big). You get less head room. Also, resale value will be worse since vast majority do not want a sunroof spec’d m4.

Yeh true, I've sat in an M4 with a sunroof and my head touches the right side area where the sunroof goes in (if that makes sense). I'm not even tall so this would be an issue for a lot of people I'd think.

Yes true! And as a true track car, you'd want the carbon roof. But not everyone takes their car on track and a sunroof is a nice added benefit in the summer and since there's less on the market could they hold their value more? - each to their own. Good shout on the head room though! Same applies to the electric seats, as the manual ones can go much further down in terms of seating position

This is all utter crap. In a race car, you need a roll cage. Roll cages bring weight above head level. These are not track cars and sunroofs do not at all affect performance for any non-professional racing driver.

Long beach blue is nice but the M2 has such an ugly silhouette. Looks like a cheap toy. The only nice angle is the front. M4 is an animal, proper car, savage.

Amateur. Up to 5500rpm, the torque is effectively similar so the pull can't be that different. M4 has more past 5500rpm. You must have read the wrong blog of amateurs.
