Decibel difference? That would be the turning point, because it's not worth it anymore in Europe to install an exhaust on a car with OPF, unless you want to make it illegal.

Totally correct!a car with all boxes doesnt sound well.just delete opf and keep the stock exhaust,its better than any other solution,with 1/5 of the money!

If you delete OPF, it becomes illegal in every country in Europe. There are some ways I know to go around this, but if you want to make it the legal way, it's not worth it anymore.@@Bluewhite13

Usually I dislike aftermarket exhausts on S55/58 engines but this one has a certain rawness, almost like NA during the revs 👍

To be honest, they both sound like crap. While amazing performance, the S55/S58 BMW engine sounds are such a disappointment. I had the M-Performance Titanium exhaust on my 2019 M2C and it sounded so much better than stock, but still so far behind the competition. The v6 in the Quadrifoglio has such a nicer sound. Similar to how the M850i/M550i sound better than the M8/M5. BMW needs to rethink their approach with the M-models.

Something doesn’t sound right here with the Akra on the red car. Is it just the Akra axe back or the mid pipe + axle back? I have the full Ara system on my G87 and it does not sound like this, sounds so much better.

Installed a Aulitzky exhaust on my G87 last month. It sounds way better than the Akra + I spent around 2.5k EUR less.

There is no significant difference which is worth to spend that money; for those who are willing to invest you should compare Akra with Aulitzky exhaust; on an E92 M3 it‘s a very good investment fot the sound, here I have my doubts; a sport-OPF would have a way better effect

I kept mine stock but got kit to open the exhaust valve 100% so is deeper sound a little louder but still looks stock….

AutoTopNL : Inline 6 will NEVER sound as good as a V6, V8, V10 or V12....BMW should stop trying to make the resonating exhaust system and so should all the custom makers because the is no exhaust system that can make an Inline 6 sound good. It's slightly better with the Porsces Flat6 but still much much worse than a good old V6 raspiness of the cylinders....I mean just look at how the GT-R-s 3,8 V6 sounds, the Z350-s 3,5 V6 or Z370-s 3,7 V6....and all that with completely stock exhaust system. All of the current BMW-s with these overrated 3.0 litre Inline6 engines sound pathetic.
