@@Franzino I know I know, I am from Germany but living in London. Only been to the Nürburgring as a spectator for Nürburg24hrs and normal days but never drove on the ring 😃

I love the handling of the Öhlins suspension on street and Nürburgring. I use the Öhlins advised spring rate (Front 90N/mm & Rear 190N/mm). I have no experience with KW V3.

Nice one. Any camber plate mods?
@Franzino3 жыл бұрын
No camber plates...it's my daily driver and most camber plates create extra noise.

I wonder how much the onlins compares to the stock m2 CS that just came out..
@Franzino3 жыл бұрын
I cannot compare with the M2 CS, because I have not driven a M2 CS yet. I drove a M4 CS and my Öhlins suspension felt equally capable as the M4 CS suspension. But it's difficult to compare between a M4 and M2. As far as I know how the M2 CS suspension is designed and how the Öhlins R&T is designed...to me the Öhlins will be the better suspension (if installed and set up correct). The big benefit of the M2 CS suspension is the adaptive control from inside the car. On the Öhlins suspension you need to adjust stiffness on the dampers themselves.
@mikehernandez35483 жыл бұрын
@@Franzino I don’t mind having to adjust on the dampers themselves. Once it’s dialed in how I’d like it, it’s dialed in! Thinking of getting a 2018 and slapping ohlins and tune/Intercooler mod, think I’ll be happy? 😂

Correct me if I’m wrong but is t the 2020 m2 an s55?
@Franzino3 жыл бұрын
The 2020 M2 is a S55, my M2 is a first gen M2 from 2017 with a N55 engine ;)

How did you find the Ohlins in comparison to the stock set up chappy?
@Franzino4 жыл бұрын
I really liked it...I drove with rather soft settings (19 front & rear), the track was cold and my tyres are Michelin 4s "street' tyres. For street track purpose and easy adjusting of the damping the Öhlins R&T is really an awesome suspension. The standard M2 suspension was also nice but after + 90.000km it lost most of it working power (felt soft and to bouncy). The Öhlins in combination with a slightly different alignment made the car more fun, more accurate (steering) and overal more predictable/controlled when going through fast corners.

Can you please tell me what spring rates are you using? Seems stiffer even in 19 clicks open setting
@Franzino4 жыл бұрын
@@alexandruolteanu3605 I use the Öhlins (and my dealer) advised spring rate (Front 90N/mm & Rear 190N/mm). On street I drive now with setting 20 - 21 and for Nürburgring it will be 18 - 19. Will probably not go stiffer then 18 on Nürburgring with Michelin 4s street tyres.
@TheMiksebik3 жыл бұрын
@@Franzino you are driving it with 18 clicks (0 being the hardest)? I have R&T on my E92 335i at 8-10 mostly...
