Quick Tipp for you Guys. "LOUDER COLDSTARTS" 1. Turn only Ignition on (NOT the Engine) 2. Press Sport Plus - Engine Setup (as usual to Open the Valves) 3. Tap with your feet Short on the Gaspedal (One Gentel Tip is enough) You here a "Peep" and a Clack from the Exhaust 4. than foot on the break and start the Car up ! You don’t need to turn on sport plus. The valves are ALWAYS opened on cold starts. That’s why tunes made something called cold start delete. And giving that push on the gas pedal is just releasing the old gas which is y it’s louder. Dumb tips tbh.

The car does it for you to stop droning. so when you come off the throttle it shuts them.

We set them to open through the BMW connected drive app, but as the other comment has stated, they get shut automatically below 2,000rpm hence why you hear them opening and closing.

drdj69 pro Tip, get a third party valve controller for epic downshifts. They are around 200$ and just plugged between the exhaust and the car. Then you can choose between 100% open all the time and Factory Settings.

Baerzilla CG precision controller, that's what I have. Makes the oem exhaust sound fantastic, but Ive just ordered the MPE and it's getting fitted Wednesday :)
