Great job but……. No protection for the dashboard… usually the put a moving blanket or something…guy is using a hammer drill or impact tool right by the dash …specially M4 HERITAGE EDITION.. only 250 in the world laguna seca blue.

Two Safelite outlets quoted $1,473 for a 4 Series BMW. The BMW dealerships (three I had quotes from) ranged from $2,060 to $2,173 for the same 4 Series BMW ...all the above quotes included 10% state sales tax. The BMW dealerships' quotations included new bump-stops, the new insulation strip, and two each new lower plastic drain channel pieces. The Safelite outlet stores did not.

Also know that the required adhesive used to secure the windshield is a specialized urethane that is best to cure in ambient temperature between 70F -100F degrees for a minimum of 6-10 hours ... preferably overnight and certainly not subject to any kind of moisture during the first 24 hours.

hey I have a BMW M4 as well and I am about to get my windshield replaced with an OEM BMW windshield by Safelite since it is the only place in my city that replaces windshields... Is there anything you suggest I tell the technician in which they don't screw something up? I noticed the black side moldings... are they re-usable? Also what about the wiper blades? Are they just bolted on or something or do you need a special tool?

I know that BMW offers an insulation kit to replace the original for the leading-edge to ensure elimination of the dreaded whistling-noise. I wonder why this was not replaced ... do the M cars not require it?! Hmm. Also,what is done to protect leather-wrapped dashboards and Head-Up displays for those cars that are so equipped?
