It's difficult to think of a BMW which has been a swing and a miss, but like a rock band's 8th album which doesn't connect with audiences, we have a few concerns about the new 8 Series.
Sure, it's extremely, unsettlingly fast. Thanks to the 4.4-litre twin-turbo lifted from the current M5, the M850i blitzes to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds, and to be honest it feels quite a lot faster. The way it pulls from 100km/h to 200 is also just ballistic.
But with permanent all wheel drive, enormous rear tyres and a relatively insulated cabin, the experiences is not as visceral as you might hope. But perhaps that will be the job of the M8?

You're right about the sound, but I can't help but feel that you're TERRIBLY misinformed about this car... 1) Not the same engine (M5 uses the S63 engine and this uses the N63 engine) 2) The M5 has nearly 70hp more 3) Not the same drivetrain (especially the diff and final drive ratio) It's not an M5 replacement. That's a very different animal.

Stop embarrassing us this car does not have an M5 engine. Its similar in saying the 335i has a M3 engine, completely different engines! S63 VS N63.

No my man, the C63 is a mighty marvelous machine, but just because all AMGs sound better than V8 BMWs lately doesnt mean we have to take away the sound of this m850i this car sounds masterful if not even better than the any AMG V8 lets not take this one away from this car they built a proper sounding V8 here, the M8, the M5 all sound aweful, the same goes for the M3/4 but the M2 sounds inline6

Alride grate news mister Ciro thanks this movie is both beautiful and well done and also both very interesting. The 8 serious is a car for someone to drive as you were asking what it is so I can’t say I know more than itis just a car. The result is when we have the money then we can thing of the car we want do I want a 8 serious or a m3? Remember the best car is the one you can drive so if you can drive this car then it’s a good start to start or begin with. As itis a 4X4 ocean drive it to mistermichels house because he pushed his house into a game farm from the city house we then keep it simple. I don’t know if for the money 1 point nine I would buy it because my enemy will say don’t you want something fast? The answer remains in my head bud as I have submitted 4 tenders for PPE in the time of COVID if I win I’ll buy it. Do you also want one Ciro I can buy you one also. Thanks for watching.

Sort of agree, but then you make sacrifices like comfort, they are not as comfortable unless its a panamera..this car will beat any GT PORSCHE at comfort yet deliver close perfomance..

If you're going to play in that price range and you're looking for performance, comfort and something that sets you apart, then leave the comparatively zef Audi's, BMWs and Porsches to the robot racers. Bentley in the only way to go, even if it has to be used. Nothing says you've arrived like a Continental with a W12 motor. Now get out of my way peasant, I have an appointment in the Riviera on the FTV yacht ;)
