Such a shame, installing all those shiny new bits into that rusty subframe. I couldn't do it. Would have to at least clean it up and hammerite it

I’ve owned one for 10yrs, it’s all great as you say in an ideal world but personally I prioritise using the car and mechanical over cleaning under body parts and so on. If I have limitless cash then fair enough but most of us don’t, so it’s all about priorities.

How do you seal the diff cover to the pumpkin properly? The paper gasket or with RTV?

Looks like that car would benefit from one of your underside restorations, but where do you draw the line?
