do you know the number of o-rings in the small hoses of the BMW E60 545i V8 cooling system N62B44A? the ones that go to the water pump on both sides.

I can’t tell you how long it took me to put that bolt at the bottom back and slowly tighten it. A solid 2 hours for one bolt lol 😩. I also hate how there is like 6 lines running to the water pump. Room for error is huge.

Yeah, it's not a fun job. Better than the alternator bracket seal, though!

Nice! how did you mate the larger valley pan pine to the water pump? Part# 11511439976?

Hi! You just line it up and push it on. Then do up the bolts to push it home.

@@fredsshed266 What I meant was, did you use o-rings to seal where the pipes join? I have a job that looks like someone used some sort of putty that hardens, to create the seals vs using an o-ring. I searched online cannot find any o-rings that’s for that pipe. May have to visit the dealership.

@@vigourdiy5084 I see. if you look at 1:03 on my video, you can see there is a rubber seal on the end of the valley pipe. I just made sure that was clean and it sealed just fine. I would say the problem you have is that the pipe has corroded and, instead of replacing it, whoever has been in there before has used sealant to try and bodge it. The corrosion is supposedly due to incorrect coolant being used (apparently, BMW coolant protects the metals and not replacing it often enough or using the wrong coolant will cause the corrosion).
