Excellent clear footage. Just a suggestion if I may, the black plastic cover over the stick coil is easier removed by lifting from underneath, less chance of scratching anything, I learned this the hard way!

The 2007 -2009 R1200R's are the hardest because the oil cooler is in the way remove the oil line T30 bolt onthe Rt side, put a bag over the front fender or remove it. my 33mm did not fit & 34mm worked but alittle loose. I also had to remove the horn with a 10mm wrench. I only removed 1spark plug. Gates belt #K040233 worked on my R1150R, maybe same? Yellow plastic thing not needed.

Where can we get that yellow plastic tool? Is there a Gates belt or any belt that we in the USA can get at a auto parts store?
@baden-baden Жыл бұрын
The yellow plastic tool is just an strap I used for removal, not really a tool, if you want to change the belt it is easy just cut it , and I recommend to buy this belt at the dealer or online specifically for bmw Bikes. Thx

nice, is there any tension regulation for that belt?

@@baden-baden thanks, asking because I got some squeaking, intermittent sound while stationary and wonder if that can be a belt, but bike is new.

Just cut the old one. It's not that complicated
@mitchw566 ай бұрын
Why, don't cutting the belt, easy? Einfach durchknipsen, oder wie? Beim Kette Trennen nimmt man doch auch fix einen Winkelschleifer oder packt ihr das Nietwerkzeug dafür aus?
@baden-baden6 ай бұрын
Sure , we can cut the belt easy and fast . Thanks for watching!!

Exactly. Use a flexible socket extension cable to get to the hard to reach bolts.
