I'm 60 years old and have ridden motorcycles most of my life. I started out on a small Taco Minibike at age 8. Since then I've owned more than 100 motorcycle. I actually bought and sold motorcycles during my 30's and 40's as extra income as a side project. However, I've never seen one of the BMW R12's in person. It is one of the most beautiful bikes ever made. The beauty lies in it's simplicity. Wonderful example of a Wonderful motorcycle!!!!

Many years ago, while in the US Navy, I found a motorcycle repair shop in Athens, Greece, that specialized in repairing these WW2 R12 BMW motoryces. The Greeks used them for may years after the war.

This is still a flat head, Harley-Davidson went to OHV 4 years earlier. Very nice looking and sounding. A beautiful restoration I'd love to ride. Thank you.
