I was hoping that you could give my continental 4PK582 multi V belt your blessing. I figure that your blessing is at least as good as BMW's. Thanks for the wonderful content, it's amazingly helpful and entertaining as well.

Top job! In my country it’s the Alternator belt I do believe. So with this there is no timing to worry about eh?
@TheOldMechanic7 ай бұрын
Good question, on the bmw its totaly outside of timing problems, just a belt driving the alternator. 😉👊🏻👍🏻

Dont you must adjust the belt/altenator after replace the belt? On my 1100rt you can adjust the altenator. Is that not possible for the 1200?? Just put it on and rotate and then finish? Groetjes uit Rockanje

Will the 4PK582 belt fit a 2007 R1200GS too?

Did your bike come with the foam behind the plastic cover? It’s terrible open cell foam that holds water and corrodes your gear case.

Salut Old Mechanic. 🤣🤣🤣 😉

Yet again you make the job simple no fiddling about! well done. just out of curiosity did you remove the spark plugs when doing this, or did you manage with then still in the bike ?
@TheOldMechanic3 жыл бұрын
The sparkplugs are out, that makes the job more easy. Only 1 out on each side is enough 😉
