I can’t find these lights anywhere on eBay, need to do the same thing but all the casings seem to be different. Won’t find using references either.

Seems like the torx nuts you use are pretty good quality. What make are they?

I have kept the original BMW ones but you have to add a couple of thin washers so that it fits perfectly. The quality of the plastic seems to be of good quality. So far so good. Will see....

Mine broke the same way and I just got done repairing it with super glue and baking soda with multiple layers of superglue and baking soda on the backside of the repair nearly undetectable remains to be seen how durable I will be but got a think it may be more durable in the original plastic

I have tried the baking soda and super glue but didn't last for me so I ended up buying a new one. Hopefully it will work for you. 👍

@@FrogsAngelsLondon I have used it a number of times now on plastic items that get stressed and have had no failures. The trick is cleaning the substrate, using a THIN super glue (not the gel) get the two parts initially bonded by holding together firmly for a minute or two (super glue will only cure in areas where air is NOT present (anaerobic??) then begin adding more layers of Super Glue followed by baking soda. I foolishly forced my newly glued fog lamp up and down repeatedly against its now tightened mounting bolt on the bike to adjust the beam, and it held up to it with no problems.
