I'm glad to see interest in this bike finally heating up. I'm a big fan of retro-styling. I have an '11 Classic and I actually prefer the round headlight and spoke wheels. It's a brilliant bike. I've got the hard bags and top case, a touring screen and hand guards and the comfort seat andi in that form is an awesome tourer without all the plastic of the RT.

I owned a red one for 4 yrs. Best bike ever until I crashed at speed. Not the bikes' fault. Totally reliable although one does go through tires a lot. 3.5 months in hospital with a pelvic reconstruction and several titanium plates and later a complex hernia. The bike was of course a complete write off. The bike could go from stand still in 3.3 sec and was no slouch at 235 kmh wide open.

I took my 2016 GS Adventure for the 18k miles service last week and I had the R1200R as a loan bike fro the whole day. I had a blast riding this bike. Amazing around corners. What a fun bike. I had more fun on this bike than on my GSA on going around corners.

Unusual looking Beast, got a face like a Grasshopper.....Very slow start to the video, but once they finally got it fired up it was quite good. Nice piece of road, and I'd imagine that's the standard muffler, looks big enough and ugly enough, but it actually sounds quite good, better than I expected.

Great video, The R1200R is a fantastic all rounder in my opinion. Considering one for myself. This is the stock exhaust? Sounds fantastic
