Another great review. I sold my 2019 GS Adventure to get this HP with the 5 gal tank and less weight and bulk. 90% of 1200 GS owners won't upgrade to the 1250 cause they wont understand until they drive one. The question is when and can they afford the upgrade and want one? You are the best motorcycle reviewer ever!!! No blah bah blah just mellifluous music between the legs.Thanks! Keep it going sir.

Lee Watkeys Just bought my third, a GSA1250, they are very agile, so many people slag off the weight but have never ridden one, once moving the weight disappears. Ok, no sportsbike, but with a good rider as good as anything in the real world, just wish I had Schaff’s abilities, but then I’m old😜.

Für mich ist die 1250 GS ein Ärgernis. Weil 2018 lebte ich noch im Bewusstsein, mit meiner KTM 1290 Super Adventure S die schnellste Reiseenduro zu fahren. Das Motorrad, das ich auch fahren würde, wenn ich Millionär wäre. Aber jetzt hat die GS über 140 NM, und ich werde sie Probefahren müssen :-( BMW hätte statt Shiftcam lieber eine Gratis-Warnweste als Update 2019 bringen sollen :-)

Die 1290 hat deutlich mehr Topend power und ksum weniger NM,verstehen nicht was dir dan fehlt.Wen es mir um Leistung gehen würde dan würde ich bei der KTM bleiben.Bin sowohl mit der KTM,Ducati und der BMW die KtM haut ne Grössere Power als alle die Duc fährt sich Sportlicher.

Die hat 2018 Leistung im Überfluss gehabt, und sie ist 2019 ja nicht anders, nur weil die GS beim Drehmoment aufgeholt und bei der Höchstleistung näher gekommen ist. Ich werde eine GS 1250 aus Neugierde Probefahren, aber dass ich danach gleich wechsle, ist unwahrscheinlich.

Swampy. The GS/GSA bikes are remarkable 'light' when riding and mostly effortless in cornering. Initiate a turn with lightest of bar pressure and the bike leans over & stays there. The handling of these bikes is freaky & a compliment to BMW

Ich bin die Maschine probegefahren. Und ja, die klingt genau so wie im Video. Ich denke der Akra wird noch mal lauter sein. Ob es das aber braucht, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Und falls es doch bassig laut sein soll, lieber ein Mivv Suono. Wirklich beeindruckend ist der Sound beim beschleunigen aus der 6 von 60km/h bis oben. Schaaf fährt wirklich so wie man das Ding fahren muss. Aus den Ecken aus dem Keller und wenns juckt bis zum Begrenzer.

I like R1200GS more because it's quickshifter sounds are more rough. I like that transmission and exhaust explosions when changing gears. R1250GS seems to have loud gear changing only from 1st to 2nd gear and maybe 3rd to 4th. R1200GS have loud quickshifter sounds on any gear, and almost same on downshifts. R1250GS's downshifts are very quiet. And R1200GS Rally 2017 used bike (5000-15000 km) costs 13000-15000€ while new R1250GS costs over 20500€ in my country. R1200GS 2017 best buy!

Me personally, I just loooove the GS, but from your POV the windshield looks ridiculously miniscule. How does it feel in real life? My brother has a 1150 GS Adventure with stock windshield and is so-so for me. I have an LT with such big bubble behind the bars, which I love btw, that you can smoke without a problem and I drive with an open helmet all year round, with high speed and low temperatures (until -5C°, after that my face gets chilly...) Oh, and yeah, it's a great bike this one...sure is!

Servus Schaaf, wie man auf einem bestimmten anderen Kanal (TWAAP) sehen kann, warst Du ja nicht nur alleine unterwegs sondern hast auch eine gewisse Zeit (die offensichtlich ganz amüsant war), mit anderen Moto-Vloggern verbracht. Gibt es da deinerseits auch Videoaufnahmen, die Du hochladen wirst? Eventuell auch mit kurzer Vorstellung der anderen Personen (inkl. Facereveal hihi)? Im übrigen sind Deine Videos immer - also immer - sehenswert. Warte auch schon auf Deinen Vergleich der 1250er GS versus KTM 1290 SAS. Da wird es wohl eher auf Details ankommen.

El Schööfl del toro! Ich merke irgendwie an deinem Fahrstil wie viel besser das Bike ist als das alte. Scheint mir du beschleunigst schneller und gehst später und ich denke leichter in die Kurve.

also beschleunigen tut sie definitiv flotter. Sonst ist aber alles gleich. Die Bremse war ne Spur besser, aber einfach nur, weil das Motorrad fast neu war ;)

@@Schaaf Ja, genau das war es, die Bremse. Ich sehe viele, die die Idee haben, das Bike wäre einfach vergleichbar mit der SAS. Das Ding, dass so absolut geil ist an deinen Videos ist man kann einigermassen gut die unterschiedliche Fahreigenschaften der Bikes sehen. Und bei der SAS, habe ich das Gefühl die ist eine andere Welt, KTM schnelles Aufdrehen, extrem gut in den Bremsen und trotz dem Gewicht sehr leicht und vor allem präzise in die Kurve. Bin die leider noch nie gefahren, aber was ich soweit bei den grossen Katies empfunden habe ist, dass man fast immer das Gefühl hat sie seien viel leichter als sie sind (bei meiner SMT und bei der 1090 so empfunden) und man hat fast immer ein extrem gutes Gefühl für das was gerade bei den Rädern an der Strasse abgeht. Die Leichtigkeit liegt sicherlich zum Teil daran, dass man eher auf den Katies oben statt drinnen sitzt (andere extrem wäre z.B. Kawasaki Z900). Die grosse BMW gleicht sehr gut das hohe Gewicht mit dem tief liegenden Motor aus, ich habe aber von deinen Videos das Gefühl, vielleicht aber nicht korrekt, dass das Telelever ein bisschen weniger das "Strassengefühl", vor allem bei den Kurven vermittelt.

@@disekjoumoer Also zum schnellen Fahren macht mir die SAS mehr Spaß. Weil ihre Federelemente schneller arbeiten und straffer abgestimmt sind. Und ja, die Sitzposition ist um einiges aktiver. Aber von der Straße spüre ich bei beiden nichts, dafür sind mir die Federwege einfach zu lang. Was schade ist, wenn das nicht der Fall wäre, dann wären diese Reisenduros zu 100% meine Traummotorräder :)
