Seems another option would be to re-engineer the splash guard by rotating the whole thing forward, with different attachments to the swingarm, so that the support arms are more vertical rather than angling backward. Then you could get almost complete coverage with one piece

Might I go as well to say you’ve now removed one of the best features of the spray guard that in a plate has a purpose?
