BMW Radio trim LED upgrade

This is the most useful video for radio and climate control unit removal, everybody on their tutorial videos just shovel their trim tool inside plastic instead of popping out clips like you did on 3:33 min. Thanks man!

My BMW 320d has a little cupholder LED but not the OEM LED strip around the radio/climate panel. So the light cable coming from the car was plugged into my cupholder LED. With the new radio panel that cable now plugged into the new panel and the other end of the Y cable went into that plastic trim that u first pry out. You dont have a LED there but my car does. So yeah thats what the Y cable is for. Anyway great video! :) Looks amazing!

@@theCarNoob i bet it's just another power source if you add another. Like the door panel lights. That's why you het a splitter

Usually after market products give you two sockets for compatibility issues or additional output/extension.

yes if you have LED above a cup holder cover panel, the one he pops out at 2:07 min
