BMW S 1000 RR HP4 - Australian Launch - MCNEWS.COM.AU

MCNEWS.COM.AU attended the launch of BMW's new HP4 at Wakefield Park. Trevor spent a day on the road with the HP4 while ex 500cc GP rider and Bol d'Or winner Mark Willis took on racetrack duties. The onboard footage is with Mark, apart from the launch control demo which is undertaken by Glenn Allerton.

How far back did you order one? I think there is quite a wait with the first few shipments all sold out. Hope you got your deposit in early or you could be waiting until after middle of next year...

By standard Road tyres you mean Diablo Supacorsas haha. Pretty much a street legal race tyre.

anyone tell me y this bike has launch control and all other settings yet can be slower goin 0 to 60 then something like an r1 or gsxr 1000. i seen vids and looked up the bmw and i seen em hittin 60 at over 3 seconds and seen r1 hittin 60 at just like 3 seconds and under. googled em and shit says r1 hits 60 faster. whats the point with all this stuff when its slower?
