One flaw at least some m30 engines have is the two banjo bolts for the camshaft oil sprayer bar, they can come loose and end up destroying the camshaft and rocker arms. Bmw came up with new bolts for these with thread locker on them. Another thing to mention as these engines start having alot of mileage is to check the sprockets, chain guide and tensioner. I have seen small missing bits from sprockets and a bent chain guide. And don't forget to adjust the lifters.

I have a 2021 G30 All you have to do is be on top of maintenance and change the oil. Any BMW after 2013 is reliable if you take care of it and don’t drive on Zero oil lol

N - mmmm. That's a bold statement.. You have a 2021. We agree staying on top of maintenance and oil goes a long way, but the "after 2013" part, a lot may disagree. It does seem that they are getting better with engines like the B48/B58 and newer S58, but time will tell!
