BMW S1000R First Ride And Review

Today i bring you a test ride of the amazing BMW S1000R . This is aimed to give you a first ride experience! I will give you my initial thoughts and review the bike and we will have a bit of fun. Great video man! I've just tested the S1000R last week myself and absolutely loved it!! Also have tested the GSXS 1000, Aprilia tuono V4 and the MT10. The Aprilia was a beast but out of all I personally loved the S1000R by far the best. So put an order in 😀 didn't try the Z1000 tho but have been on my mates Z800 before. I am waiting for the 2017 to come out here in the US. They are saying July or August which seems very late in the season :(

E.S. Slc Yeah that does seem a bit late...Mine is due for a March delivery cus production for them started week 6 which is actually this week we have just done. Maybe there is some sort off delay in getting them over there with US BMW? Go and double check with ur dealer and say that UK / Europe have got a release date of March. Hopefully that can find out something for you 😊✌

Nice real-world commentary. Did you find the bike puts out any uncomfortable heat in the seat area?

Just bought this beauty 3 days ago. I agree with your comments about the bike. I want to swap out the levers as the clutch is quite a far reach. I read the aftermarket levers may not work due to the switches on the cruise control and auto shifter/blipper. Have you heard this as well? Great review and hello from California.

Did you need to do a valve job? How many miles do you have on it now?

@@AlanTrades valve check at 18k, tolerances were in spec no adjusting. Put 34k on her and sold it.

Trust me. You must be very, very careful when choosing this bike. Because it will transform you into a hooligan.

Too bad the exhaust has the stupid popping and crackling. The first S1000Rs didn't have that.

The 2017 model has 5bhp+, few kg lighter, auto blipper, but still feels the same as 2014-16, and it has that big ugly muffler. I wont be trading up to 2017 model

2017 comes from the factory with akrapovic exhaust now, less vibration in the bars, less weight, more power...have fun with the older one...
