I just watched a different 2013 S1000RR start up video and the needle only goes to 14k rpms like yours is doing! So i do think the stepper motor is completely fine!

I kinda like the longer videos bro but chopping them up into segments makes more sense timewise.

As long as your series dont become a 20 part project, then all is good.

How long can you have the instrument cluster unhook without losing all orginal settings?

It’s only supposed to go a hair past 14k. I have a 2013 model. The needle only going half way or anything less than 14k means the motor might be crapping out

Interesting! All my other bikes do a full cycle of the whole gauge. So in this case it would go to 16k but I’m new to BMW!

I don't get it, does the Chinese's make aftermarket parts for the instrument cluster?
@Benjamminoutdoors Жыл бұрын
It’s actually a very general part that’s in a lot of European cars clusters and they just copied it I guess or that’s where the companies get theirs made idk 🤷🏽♂️

Speak to a BMW Dealer & ask them about the range of the Needle on Start-up?
