Great video! I just replaced my mirror, to save someone some time, if you got skills and tools, you dont have to take the whole door panel , just unsnap that top corner by pulling it, then unsnap the top black plastic trim, and you will see three mirror bolts. Everything else is same as the video. If you not confident, then I recommend removing the door panel and moving slow. Again great video to make sure you dont break anything, can be done faster but risk involved 👍👍👍

Yes, you definitely need to take the entire panel off. There might be away around it but I didn’t see a way to do it with out breaking something.

Hey mate i know im late but for some reason my x6 mirrors wont tilt move or close any idea maybe its a fuse or something? Or is there any cheap solution rather than going and buying new mirrors straight away

The parts were purchased directly from the local BMW dealership. So very expensive.

I just installed one I bought for 100 on eBay for a 535i the holes weren’t threaded either

You made far more work for yourself than necessary. All you had to do was pull the top of the door trim back and unsnap the speaker to reveal the bolts for the mirror 😂

I politely disagree, I don’t think you can pull the top of the door trim back with out damaging it. The mirror bolts are hidden behind the long plastic trim housing the speaker.
