BMW Solve Hood Roof Problem - Not Going Down

How I simply solved the problem of the automatic convertible roof hood not coming down. This appears a common fault on BMW's of this age (circa year 1999 models) that many people experience after they've been garaged for long periods. Hope this helps some of you out there.
