Thanx Tony great vid, I’ve got a GTL exclusive and found a pair of these TPMS sensors for 25$ on EBay.

My battery fix only lasted a few months. Dont know how long these batteries sat on the shelf. I also found sensors on Amazon for less than $30.00. Had to enlarge the bolt hole a little for the bolt to pass through but they have been working great since install. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Excellent!! Thanks so much! I’ve been procrastinating this on the BWM GSA for far too long! It’s time to get it done! Thanks!!

Since I don't have a GS-911, do you know if the OBD2 readers you can borrow at Autozon will work on the bike? I would have to get a converter cable (From BMW round connecter to the rectangular one of the OBD2).

I would not recommend useing anything that is not designed for your bike. Have heard the wrong device could dammage the system. The GS911 is expensive but money well spent.

@@tonycarthan6425 What about this "Motoscan" App with OBD blue tooth device some people on the forums recommend?? Not going to buy a GS device. Will sell the bike, it is a financial drain.

Yes I have read the same. That is designed spicificalky for motorcycle use but I have no experience with the product.

I had a 1986 ZG1000 concours. It was a different machine back then. I called it a poor man's BMW K Bike. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Good job Tony. Have you tried the new sensors sold for cheap on Alibaba and Timu ? do they work on these bikes? My rear one keeps going in and out.

a.co/d/9o3cwAe a.co/d/1R2OJvy I did eventually replace the repaired sensors with ones from Amazon in the link above. Had to enlarge the hole for mounting bolt a little bit but they are working. The readings are not exact but are consistent. I used a GS911 to reprogram the new sensors and a cheep wake up tool, also in the link above. Good luck and thanks for watching and commenting.

@@tonycarthan6425 Thanks Tony but I don't buy anything from Amazon as I hate it with passion. Also I don't have nor want to spend the crazy money to buy a GS911. I am basically tired of this nonsense where one has to replace sensors and buy scanners instead of simply checking the tire pressure the old fashion way....who thought this is a good idea.!! I am sick of the K1600 and it's endless issues. Just had the rear shock rebuilt by EPM in NJ. Now the shock will not go up and down, it was doing that just fine before. Most likely I will sell the bike or set it on fire. I am happy with my old 1999 RT. Reliable and does not have all these endless issues.

@@AB-hx9hs Sorry you feel that way. Most any brand of motorcycle, car,TV, washing machine, purchased these days come with an increased degree of complexity. If you are a DIY consumer, you must adapt and acquire the appropriate tools. I owned a 1979 Suzuki GS1000N. It had spoke wheels, chain drive, carburetors, a cable driven speedometer ect... I loved that bike. As time and technology advanced, I followed and adapted. Just my opinion. Hope things work out for you.

BMW dealer charged me $450 for 2 sensors and bolts for my 2007 F800ST. Ridiculous. Saved the original ones and definitely will replace batteries myself next time.

Find a better source for the batteries. One of the ones I used started going bad a few months later. I found sensors on Amazon for about $30.00 and they have been working great. You will need a programming tool to set them up if you dont already have one. Good luck and thanks for watching.
