The key missing instruction for getting the BMW wiper in the fold out position is to keep your feet off any pedals - otherwise the wipers won't stop where they need to. Luckily after 30 minutes I found this very important piece of info elsewhere and then it worked like a charm.

I feel like the trick with the stalk is different in different BMW models, so different videos weren't helpful. Thanks for this! I needed to turn it on then off with nothing electric on inside the car. THEN it worked. Other videos made it seem like I had to turn the engine on then off but keep the dash lit up. That wasn't the case with my 2015 328

Crazy that numerous BMW models use different attachment methods for mounting the wiper blades (even models that are closely related, like the X1 and X2).

bought some mechelin blades but didn’t notice the difference with the clips on the sides and came to looks at your video which helped out a lot 🔥🙌🏼 so thank you! i got the wrong blades that have the hooks. now i gotta look for the correct ones 😅😭

I got some Michelin Optimum+ wipers. I don’t know why these wipers came up in the book I searched as working for the 2015 328i that I have. (F30.) I cannot get them to work.
