Nobody ever mentions to take the top off the brake fluid housing cap before you compress your brake piston, your welcome.

Short video get to the point - crystal clear and well explained. Next video if you have a chance I would love to see how to operate the manual reset button.

Love the concise video. Wouldn't mind knowing the cone wrench size and socket size...save time :)

Hello can you advise how to remove the alert "change to breaks" on computer then? It's going to disappear or need a manipulation? Thanks for your support

Great video, what size is the flat spanner
@BWTECH05212 жыл бұрын
Thanks Geoff! I am not sure it isn't labeled. I would say it is a 16mm or 17mm. Alternatively, you could use vice grips.

Did you torque the caliper bolts to spec, or just a good hand tighten?
@BWTECH0521 Жыл бұрын
I hand torqued them but always recommended to use a torque wrench!

Hi sir nice video! Can you help me with a question? Which weels the sensors are installed? Only in two? Or all of the four weels have sensor pads? Thanks.

How is the pedal feel? I just upgraded the brakes on my 335 and the light pressure on the pedal leaves much to be desired. (Stops very aggressive and awesome when you use firm pressure) I'm thinking I should have not compressed the calipers as much as I did. I saw something about cycling the dsc pump to "relearn" the brakes. 🤷♂️
@BWTECH05212 жыл бұрын
It feels the same to me. It's pretty sensitive compared to other cars ove had, it is hard to brake smooth with this car even before I replaced the pads 😱
@husqvarnaman83156 ай бұрын
The piston resets itself the first time you press the brake pedal. The brakes on the BMW ARE aggressive, its not you.

The video was good but I wish you would mention the size wrenches and sockets needed beginning with the lug nuts. I see you are training your son up right. Ha

Did you have any problems with spongy brakes after you changed the pads?
@BWTECH0521 Жыл бұрын
Only on the first few brakes, then it came back to normal. This is because the piston was pushed in to be able to fit the thicker, new pad.

@@BWTECH0521 changed mine and now the brakes are spongy. I wonder if air got in my brake lines when I pushed the piston back

Weird, how the sensor can't be reused
@BWTECH0521 Жыл бұрын
I think it is because the sensor wears out with the pads to a certain threshold then throws the warning message.
@chadparker12127 ай бұрын
That sensor is for life of vehicle not 1 time use
@BWTECH05217 ай бұрын
No, they are not. They break, and that's how you get the light that tells you to replace the pads.
