Great video. I have one issue with my 2021model. There is a high pitched whistle that occures occasionally when its cold outside. Any suggestions as to the cause?

Thanks for video. very informative. Re the routine maintenance cost if you are even remotely handy the air filter and cabin filter are relatively easy to change. You can purchase OEM quality replacements at Rock Auto which are significantly less costs than the BMW filters.

I have a 2021 x3 30i is it worth buying the extended warranty since I’ve decided to buy out the lease.
@PetrolheadPodcasts16 күн бұрын
@@perelmutterj I would recommend buying it for peace of mind since BMW repairs can be rather expensive
@DenisDamulira236 күн бұрын
It's a BMW, extended warranty is a must. Repair costs are known to cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks for the review. I own 2019 x3

Hi, are these X3 (model 2019 - 2020) models don't come with a spare tyre? Not even a tools/jack included? Is that correct?
@PetrolheadPodcasts2 ай бұрын
There was an option for a space-saver spare wheel from factory, but not many cars have it. Basic tools are included but no jack.

Mmm any new car is reliable for 3 years not much to say about it, it's in the long term when recent Bimmers start to get a serious money consumers with transmission issues, electronic nightmares and even hydraulic steering
@PetrolheadPodcastsАй бұрын
That is partly true but I think you’ll be surprised at the number of new cars that already have serious known reliability issues within the first three years these days, think of the 2022+ Nissan Rogue with the 1.5 3-cylinder engine, the 2023+ Mercedes GLC, the 2021+ Jeep Grand Cherokee L, 2022+ Toyota Tundra, etc.
@DenisDamulira236 күн бұрын
The X1, X3 combo are more reliable than the Acura MDX etc. Especially the model years leading up to 2022 with that 8speed Asin / Toyota transmission. 2023+ use a German made 7 speed DSG which is known to fail way sooner than the Aisin / Toyota trans. The B48 is a strong reliable engine when well maintained. It's the same B58 in the Supra but with 2 cylinders less.

You say maintenance costs is an issue......Well, yes if you're taking it to a BMW dealership and overpaying when it's out of its warranty. Once out of warranty simply don't take it to a BMW dealership anymore.
@yusukekamui5912 ай бұрын
Ok, cheers. Mine no tools, no jack, no spare wheel. I bought a used X3 from the dealership. Just worried what will my option be if I had a flat tyre. Stuck with no spare and no tools etc. Why they removed the standard spare wheel like the good old days. They are cost cutting??
@jasonbrown3170Ай бұрын
From what I understand they have run flat tires, so you would be able to drive to a service center.

3 years you call it a long term review? LMFAO
@PetrolheadPodcastsАй бұрын
LMFAO indeed, 3 years is a very long time for a new car. Most long-term tests by car magazines are only for 12 months, please do your research before commenting. There is no point waiting even longer to do a review as the car would be completely outdated and would not be relevant consumer advice anymore.
