BMW X3 F25 Rear Shocks Struts Replacement 33526796317

This video shows how I replaced the rear shocks in the 2011 BMW X3 F25 xDrive30d. I reused the springs, and other struts components. I got the car wheels aligned and camber adjusted right after the shocks replacement.

I strongly advise against removing the inside bolt. That bolt has an offset washer and is used to do the wheel alignment. So if you want to redo the wheel alignment remove that bolt. Otherwise remove the bolt just next to the shock bolt. Both are 18 and 21mm. It's actually easier to get a impact wrench in there because the exhaust is in the way to get an impact wrench on the other side.

I bulloni sotto vanno stretti a 80 Nm, quello centrale dell'ammortizzatore a 60Nm al minuto 4:15 spiega che il bullone della campanatura va segnato prima di smontarlo e rimesso al medesimo punto, altrimenti bisogna andare dal gommista a fare di nuovo la campanatura.

Hello great video but only one suggestion do not touch that bolt 1:56 this is alignment bolt. Looks like you need the alignment as well.

You should get an alignment no matter what when you get new shocks/springs.

at least change the bump stops, they're less than $20 each and add years to the service life of the shock absorber
