Hey guys you must test the m550d which had 515hp (tuned) at its top speed. You did one at 260kmh only cuz of winter tyres and this was 4 years ago. I am dying to see this car at its max

So pleased to see the M40D back on the channel. Amazing car and engine, perfect for the real world, its going to be a massive shame when these are no more. Totally agree with closing statement, a fast diesel engine need a second chance. I've run an X3 M40D for last 2 years, 45mpg on a run, stage 1 mapped with 403bhp and 797nm. 500 to 600mile range, absolutely perfect, I'll be keeping this for a very long time!

When get passed by some cool new cars, you can get a little bit jealous sometimes. But when I get passed by the latest X4 and X6, I just begin to laugh. Every time. I don't know why, the rear doesn't look "bad". It looks just hilarious. And I'm so sorry for the driver. I don't know why XD.

Beautiful car with good dynamics for 360 hp (4,6/4,7 -100 and 18,9-19,3 -200) and low fuel consumption. The G20 and G02 have the best rear led design among BMW. P.S. I use 695 wheels style in winter.

It is almost scary how we agree on the brilliance of this engine. I find it amazing how it can do seroius speeds on the motorway with no effort for long distances while at the same time require less fuel than what a petrol car does under normal driving. I also love the deep growl this engine produce when you rev it. The engine character is similar to a V8 but much more quiet when you want it to be. I really wish more people understood the brilliance of this engine.

I have and love my X3 M40d from 2021 Max. Its really a powerful car and I have a lot of fun at the autobahn when some people think they can lightly overtake me. GPS my car goes 251

I can confirm that this car is fantastic for long and fast autobahn rides. I had this same Model for 3 days, made 2000km and fuelled it 2x times I floored the car most of the time and consumption was between 7-9 l

Powerful Diesels are just great, I think its a shame that we no longer have the M550D or the 4.0 TDI in the SQ8, at least the M40D remains. With the correct amounts of Ad Blue there is no really no difference in the eco balance between this and a petrol. Would love to hear what you think about the 30D in the Jaguars (F-Pace 30D or XF 30D), the older engines with the supercharger not the new turbo ones.

My opel astra j 1.4 turbo 140hp At 130km/h real on GPS...the speedometer marks 142km/h. Top speed is 224km/h but i thinks in real is maybe around 200

6:10 Maybe older winter tires with less pressure... 240 vs. 250 is just 4% difference, so if a new tire has a diameter of 73cm with 250kph, maybe this tire has 70cm with 240kph

I like the 520d it’s a beautiful saloon the problem in my country is diesel we have Euro3 diesel so those modern cars the filters get dirty by the exhaust gaz it’s dirty diesel from early 2000s so sad we can’t enjoy a diesel car

I do like the car, i prefer myself X3 40d much better, because imo if you going for sporty and performance you going for petrol, if you want comfy family suv you want to have a practical diesel. Diesel coupe it is not going to work as the big suv with petrol engine. Just my opinion. BTW i do support Martin but please leave the pov revievs for Max, no offence but Max feel more like he just flows on talking about the car, Martin feels a bit lost/confiused when he talks about things. Again - no offence.

To be honest, I guess the problem is not BMW dash but your system... There´s plenty of videos in youtube from bmw models you have tested with other performance measuring system and the speedometer is accurate as every other car´s... so maybe you should check it instead

I don't like the digital (LCD) speedo/dashboard. I also don't like an in-accurate speedo as well. Especially BMW often is accurate (even on the old models from the 90's) and this one is completely off ?! WTF

The new design is hideous. Bring back the nice clear analogue dials. Manufacturers are getting obsessed with digitising EVERYTHING to the point where the ergonomics are ruined (what's wrong with actual buttons?)
