BMW X4 Non Contact Tailgate Not Working!

In this video we will find and repair the annoying problem with the non contact tailgate opening or also known as contactless tailgate opening on this BMW x4 G02 , A small broken and oxidised wire can cause a module not to respond !

You’re right, the guys who repainted the rear bumper have done a good job painting but didn’t care about the wiring, I can see some rust in in the frame which should have been taken care of in the 35:05 marker 🫤 Great job again and thank you 😊

I had exactly the same issue on my 2019 G01and your video just saved my day (and some hundreds of $ ofc avoiding the dealership repair). My problem was withing the ground (green) cable which had a little cut so i had 0 voltage when i first done the multimeter test. Thank you so much for the video! Nice work. Many shops where I live would have condemned that module . My e39 had a badly damaged LCM due to water damage. My lights were still acting up so I opened the boot to find the spare wheel submerged in water . Not sure where it’s coming from.

So I am looking forward to all your work on an F25... 😆♥️ What also is interesting to see, is how you remove the different trim pieces without breaking anything! Nice job! But you need to be aware that the fuse will never blow by itself because she was depressed ! Or the wind blown in a different direction. The fuse will pop because there is a problem in the system! Short circuit, corrosion !

Condensul de la caldura tevii de esapament si caroseria rece iarna probabil a dus la aceea acumulare de apa pe fire. Probabil asta a fost si cauza coroziunii firului. Probabil o mica portiune neizolata in firul de date.

Do you know if it is possible to add foot kick sensor on BMW G26 i4? My car was built last year but BMW took out the sensor due to parts shortage.

Auto-power off of the multimeter: you might be able to change that. Check the datasheet of the onboard chip and flash the EEPROM with the value you'd like

Sow,it must be made update to ECU to a newer software if de cars is from 2014 or below

Ovidiu mentionated in the video that the bumper was removed in the past by a paint shop so the cable malfunction was probably affected by them.
