The condensation in the headlights is now a normal thing for many newly designed cars. I come from the old school where that was a no-no because we all had sealed headlight units. But apparently many newly designed headlight units are not now sealed and therefore condensation does get in behind the front face. The reason I know this is that I have a new Audi Q8 and it " suffers " from the same thing. The car came with the new lazer lights which are superb. However on an Audi Q8 owners forum we all discovered that we had this condensation and when we queried this with Audi UK they said that it was a normal occurence and was not a problem as the units are designed in that way !

We very recently had a X5 50e as a rental on holiday (Italy) and boy am I now grateful for our GLC at home....(traveling with my wife and 2y old in a child-seat) The suspension was ok but the response to the throttle was all over the place, no way to just comfortably cruise. With lighter input to the throttle it was slow to react or with ever so slightly more to harsh so that it jumped off... Also the horrible "split boot" is so annoying to anyone wanting to load or unload anything but Golf-Bags.... AC only works with the key in the car, and the driver pushing the brake... WTF... in 34+C Weather in a black SUV the size of a Barn with black leather Seats?!? And IF it could work otherwise, I don't want to flick through a) hundreds of TouchMenus OR b) needing extra steps or instructions. Car in Park, ignition on, AC On. Period.

Weird as I would have imagined it’d be the same system sold by Bosch or whatever, maybe it is and the sensors are the problem idk but there’s a night and day difference. THat light condensation is completely normal thing in all modern LED main lights due to the fact that LED does not heat up as normal lightbulbs or xenon lights used to. So conedensate appears due to difference temperature difference from outside and inside the headlight. Manufacturers try to "battle" this by applying silica strips or similar stuff which "pulls" humidity onto themselves inside the headlights. So this condensation is a result of something like "Low quality" manufacturing but a physics fact

So nice to see a car review video again and not a drag race. Keep up the amazing content.

why did you guys change the filming style? it is dizzy now with all those camera movements and it is not even clear as the cam tries to find an autofocus point. why fix what is not broken

Just to correct you on the rear seat releases - you have handles at the back of the boot as well as those on top of the seats themselves so you don’t need to ‘go round’ to release them to flatten the - Also spec the electric load cover - best thing ever!
@bobbolitho25549 ай бұрын
There used to be handles in the boot area to lower the rear seats, for some reason they chose to remove them. I was disappointed to discover this as was on my previous X5.

The gas strut in the back has some nostalgic noises for anyone who has had older BMW's. They always sound like your opening some secret alien treasure chest when you pop the boot with those struts lol.

Can you get an x40i in US with air suspension? If I choose M sport package it comes with M sport suspension. Is it possible to get air suspension instead? Also how much of a difference there is between M sport and Air suspension in terms of comfort?

So happy BMW is going direct to consumer sales. Sorry Carwow, but I don’t need a dealer to sell me a car. Dealerships charge a markup for a product, but don’t provide any value to the buyer for the money paid. It’s such an outdated system and long overdue to be going away.

18:40 Finally, I truly don't understand the hate towards diesels. Governments have gotten it into their heads that diesels should disappear. I think, however, that there is still a future for them because they are very fuel efficient, strong and reliable.

I have a 2009 Kia rio. Manual windows, no central locking, just cheap, no frills motoring. In my opinion, my car represents motoring at its best. The pure essence of what a car should be. I believe it's the best car I've ever had and up there with the best cars in the world.

Why this relentless move by many manufacturers to move away from buttons and put so much onto screens. It's both dangerous and stupid.

Moisture in the headlights really demonstrate how German cars are just straight up crap now. They throw a bunch of tech at the car but then have 0 quality control. Bring back German cars of the 80s/90s.

The funniest part is that the one light switch which has a button is the rear foglight, which is probably the most rarely used light in any car. We need buttons!!

It's amazing how this makes the GLE look so cheap. The GLE has truly awful build and material quality and Mercedes has done nothing to fix it with the facelift GLE.

18:35 what nonsense? the speed-limit signboard should be in the direction of traveling (direction of the movement of the car), which is left side of the road for on-going drivers.. why is it there on the right-hand-side, for the incoming drivers, who can't even see it?
