Alex Montoya it seems like the current owner has spent a lot of money on repairs as many of them were done in 2020

@@alexmontoya9603 seriously I own that car (X5 40d) now for 6 years between 85.000-165.000 km. these are pretty much exactly 50.000 miles. My overall repair cost have been lower than 500 US$ (!). (excluding regular maintenance, of course) But as I wrote, I am a passive driver. Also, there was a little luck involved. Others may have variing results ;)

I just got this as a temp car as I needed an automatic after snapping my Achilles’ tendon , it’s only a 2003 model 3.0D sport , happens to be fully loaded .. however i cannot believe the ride comfort in this vehicle !! Wow!! It handles so great , right around corners , firmly planted on the roads, feels like you throwing a small car about ... I absolutely love it ,, I just can believe how good this vehicle is.. I’ve had range rovers and other jeeps in the past but I really rate this un sung hero ✊✊👍

These are honestly the best reviews anywhere. I enjoy Top Gear for its entertainment value, but for sheer usefulness, Mat's videos are the best. Exactly what I would want to know, a good mix of fun and information. I hate how American reviews always spend forever explaining the radio system but don't say a word about how the car handles.

+bmw4lfe Just saw a 2012 on the street it was white with black wheel wells and had the M Sport package! Looks shape. I waited at Starbuck's for the owner to arrive and ask him how much he paid for his X5 and he said $72K!

It amazes me how gradually the fifth seat in almost every car is becoming an afterthought. Doesn´t make me very confident to think I could be seating in the middle, and think "heck, this headrest isn´t really a headrest, it is a cup holder for my neighbors, who have real headrests...", lol...

An amazing car with an amazing history I absolutely love it. In Russia it has a very dramatic criminal history from the 90's (beemers) which brings respect! I'm absolutely buying one for my self on my 18th Birthday

Well Mat you were wrong on it's quiet in the interior. I have test drove the Xdrive35i a couple of weeks ago, and i have to admit that it is a superbly engineered vehicle. Once the rpm reaches 3000, the exhaust note of the inline six engine is music to the ear. But X5 has lots of wind, tire and engine noise once you get on highway, especially passing a semi. It can really annoy you.

you experience road noise when using the run flat. consider changing it to regular tyres for superb experience

Audi Q5/Q7 and BMW X5/X6 are basically just good looking SUVs for the city. If you want a proper SUV which can go offroad and give you a great city driving experience, you need a Range Rover or a Land Rover. No other SUV comes close.

Maybe, I do prefer Audi, especially with their offer of 5 years free service, but there is quite a difference in price, and honestly, not that comfy, am 6'4 and fit better in the X5. The new X5 is surprisingly a very good fam car.

I like X5, it's a nice car. The problem is though if you buy an SUV you expect it to be smooth and comfortable. On the other hand X5 is made to be faster and quicker than most SUV's but what's the point of buing a quick SUV??? If you want a quick car for that sort of money you can buy Mersedes AMG for instance, like I did)) If I had a dilemma of buying an SUV I would't have bought an X5.

lol the 35i does 0-100 km/h in 6.8 secs and 0-60 in 6 - 6.2 secs the 4.8 does 100km/ in about 6.8 also. i have even tried it out on my moms car and it did 0-60 mph in 6 secs flat. and gas is very expensive so it saves you alot more than you think. + the new x5 is more beautiful not many changes but it looks better
