Actually, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 SE Performance (mouthful) is currently the quickest AMG SUV, with a hybrid engine and motor producing 680 hp.

The SQ8 rationale makes no sense, just because it's "2nd" in the model line for the BMW only, it's still an M that's just a trim. Like RS Perf Spec. The SQ8 was deffo tuned. AutoTopNL tested both the standard XM and facelift SQ8. The XM did a 9.30 seconds 100-200kmh and the SQ8 did 11.80 seconds 100-200kmh, both with a 4.00-4.15 second 0-100kmh

@SudSale31 There is no way the SQ8 is stock, you are denying facts. Autoptop nl posts only the best times they get out of the cars they review, and the difference between the XM and SQ8 in their vids is huge. Also, even if the SQ8 isnt tuned and has 500hp, its not surprising it beats an SUV in a bigger size bracket with 400kg more and lesser aero. And I remind you the S68 V8 in the XM is highly detuned, only 490hp when the same engine has 625 stock on the X6M. Stage 1 for stage 1 the XM wipes the floor with the SQ8 and even the RSQ8. Only the Urus SE can compete. Also, compare the XM with a GLS 63s or an Escalade V, thats when you see how well it does for its size, its a truly unbeliveable chassis for the size
