i have about 138k miles on my 06 Z4 M coupe, original rod bearings, original vanos. Its been the most reliable BMW I've owned.

I bought my M Coupe last December and love it. But was glad I had the bearing shells replaced at 77K miles when I saw the ones that got removed!

I have a 2006 M, same color but a weekend car (38k miles). I wouldn't want to daily drive it if I was driving a lot of miles but as this car is driven wouldn't be a big problem. Problem with lot of miles is both the ride, then costs of maintenance and repair (high priced 0-60 oil, valve adjustment, eventual rod bearings, tires, increased depreciation), then it is a 10-12 year old car. Good review!

Niiice car Best thing I like about it, as you mentioned, it's from before cars became big. It's exactly the right size, you're really sitting in an agile, stiff as a board, little rocket. 2022 3 series are the size of a 7 series 10 years ago. Or the 'Mini' or Fiat 500, they're HUGE for so called small cars. All going backwards. This car has éxactly the right ingredients, size, power, engine and looks

I have a 3.0si e86 (automatic) and i like it. I bouth for 11k but the first Full-Full repair cost (of everything was 5k by an officeial BMW service center). Missing the Manual gearbox :(

What’s your height? I’m starting to prefer the looks and rarity of the E86 Z4M over the E46M3. But I heard if your over 6ft2 forget about it. The Z4M will not allow you sit in comfortably.

5'10" But I have friends 6'4" who are pretty big guys and honestly this is your best bet if you want a 2 seater unless you get a GT like a 6 series or Lexus cars (which are not 2 seats). I always say go try it before you buy it tho
@1anre5 жыл бұрын
PeepShit Studio wow. You mention this is my best bet for a two seater. Are you saying in its current price category, there really aren’t any cars that come close of beat it?

Nice vid! The rod bearings should be changed at least at 100k miles. Mine were at a little over 100 and they were shot, to say the least.. But there was no mishaps or noise to tell me they were. Needless to say I’m happy I changed them

Nice vid nice car, they always say that the ride quality is terrible in z4 e85 and e86? What do you think?
@pereldh57415 жыл бұрын
Sam Watkins I’d say it’s normal for the proper sportscar it is. However I personally think they should have had the Eibach Pro(gressive) springs from factory, for small money they give you both looks & smoother ride. It seems the original springs are too stiff.
@samwatkins69635 жыл бұрын
@@pereldh5741 thank you so much sir for ur reply. The thing is that I live in lebanon and here we have terrible roads. I want one (non-M) really bad but everyone is telling me not to get it because of the poor ride quality. They say it is too jarring and unbearable to drive on a daily basis. In addition it is going to be my daily and only car. Do you think it is that bad?
@peepshitstudio5 жыл бұрын
@@samwatkins6963 How old are you is the question? The standard Z4 suspension is softer than the Z4M which is much stiffer and sportier. You can always get the car you want and change the suspension to make it suite your needs. Any 2 seater sports car that is not a Mercedese is going to be a bit stiff compared to larger heavier cars.

How many miles do you have? I am looking at one with 130k+ miles and it has not had a lot of the maintenance done like rod bearings or cooling system components replaced
@peepshitstudio5 жыл бұрын
I'm at 105k, I was at 102k in this video and I did my Rod Bearings then because I crossed the 100k mark. If you get it, you would need to put 3k aside to do the rod bearings and any other maintenance items. Cooling system isn't as brittle as the old E46s so I didn't worry about that but start to worry about clutch at that mileage if it wasn't replaced for sure and other little things like Ignition Coils, sparks, rotors, pads, even calipers.
@ismailm76595 жыл бұрын
@@peepshitstudio ok thanks I think I'm going to keep looking. A friend of a friend recently sold his with low miles for 40k. Even though the E46 is iconic I love the look of these

Nice car! How do you like living in South Florida compared to ATL?
@peepshitstudio5 жыл бұрын
I miss Atlanta but I don't miss the traffic. We don't get winter which is nice but I miss the food in Atlanta, the roads and variety of landscape. Not to mention the car culture is probably better as well. But I can't complain about year round summer and beaches honestly. I'm going to make a video comparing the 2 "Eventually"

M2 or Z4M? 😀
@peepshitstudio5 жыл бұрын
Both great cars, M2 isn't as analog and feels more disconnected but easier to live with on a daily basis and more practical too. With this you get the S54 and rarity. Personal preference really
@MrRoyck104 жыл бұрын
I would only swap my Z4 3.0Si coupe with a full fat analogue Z4M, this era of BMW are the ultimate driving machine, the M2 is a mere turbocharged BMW,,the ultimate digital machine! Go for the Z4M.
