I'm glad you did a video on the Launch BMW. I purchased one a couple months back, but haven't actually had the chance to put it through its paces. Given the functionality and amazing price point, IMO this is THE scanner to have for BMW DIY'ers. Just as an FIY, one tricky thing about it can be getting it connected up to your WiFi for updates... I had to ratchet down my router's encryption to get it to eventually connect. After that it updated straightaway and worked exactly as Dr. Dean demonstrated.

Perfect! My iDrive stopped working. First I thought my monitor was bad or replace the CCC. OBD2 scan said it's in transport mode but has no special option to delete it. I'll be ordering one of these 👍🏾

I was hoping you we're going to review this. It saved me from a immobilizer tampering fault at Christmas, it's certainly paid for itself already. I've done my Bluetooth module and a battery replacement with it. He'll of a tool for £100 pounds. No doubt it will creep up in price as it gets more popular. 👍

cool scanner but was disapointed there was only 3 actuation tests for e46 , no way to test vanos cam sensors or anythin unless theres a way to buy more actuation tests im not aware of?

Hi Dean, GREAT explanation on this Reader unit!! I drive a 2013 bmw x5 35i engine E70 LCI , i have question(1) can this C reader allow me access my vehicles computer to turn OFF" fog light bulbs check" setting, during startup. the problem i have is, I replaced my fog light bulbs with newer Led bulbs, now my both fog lights will flash intermittently for 15-20 seconds when the vehicle is first started and also, occasionally a"left fog light bulb defective" will show up in my instrument panel . i know it is because of my changing my oem fog bulbs to LED. next Question ( 2) My instrument cluster is not so "bright" and looks dull and dimmer than i like it to be. Can I use this "C reader Elite, to go into my vehicle computer setting and use this reader to brighten my dash/instrument Cluster in any setting??? ty great videos Dean!! good work!! ty in advance

Great review and video I own a different model Creator Diagnostic tool the C310, I am not sure I need all these features, however one BMW feature I dislike is the doors locking while driving on my 2001 530i, my previous 2001 530i, and 1998 BMW 528is didn't do that.

Good video, I have had one of these with Mercedes specific software. The 'version' software is there for life. It is possible to download other makes software but it is limited licence (I got a year of Audi software for about £40) Just changed to a G31, sold the Creader Elite and considering buying one specifically for the BMW. Anyone know if the coding would enable Speed Limit Information SLI, to be shown on dash?, I understand that a bit of coding in the VO and insertion of an FSC is required if done on laptop. Is it likely this would work? or will it simply switch on and off features as built at factory?.

I would recheck the fluid level when it’s up to temperature do you have a scan tool to monitor the temp ? And also I would of changed the filter even though, I know people are scared too because of stripping bolts on the pan ask me how I know 😂 I stripped 5 of mine out on my Porsche as it had never been done. But yeah it I was you change the filter and I would change the sleeve aswell.

I have been watching these videos because I plan to replace the injectors on my 140 and need a scanner which will allow me to enter the compensation values for the new injectors but also to reset the DME adaptations. The problem I face is that every video I watch which reviews a scanner concludes that "this is the scanner you guys need" and so I really don't know where I should be putting my money. A simple Autel Ap200 will do most of what I need and allow new battery registration which is another task I will soon face but I don't believe it will reset DME Adaptations which I suspect is necessary when fitting new injectors. Guess I'll sit it out until the next review but quite happy to buy through your link if you can confirm . . . . . .

Well i know it does coding. But I can’t be sure it can turn things off as such I know it can alter certain parameters in the modules coding options. But I haven’t fully checked if it can do that as I don’t have a car with TPMS and never needed to code out headlight washers. However, I would be surprised if it didn’t do it as this can do alot of useful things.

Hey Doc, could you assist please? Angel eyes were coded on for e90 with carly. After car had dme updates windows went down and then back up, cluster restarted, and lit up like a christmas tree. Turned it off and back on everything was runnin fine but the angel eyes went back off and the normal drl came on. Tried recoding and carly says i could have frm2/3. Fairly positive i have frm 3 which is supposed to be the good one? Could i be sorta almost bricked and need a new one?
